Thank goodness it was a picture-perfect weather day or else the stadium would have been half full ... at best. Regardless, there wasn't a lot of interest in Redskins -Buccaneers on a glorious afternoon. The upper bowl had plenty of good rows available. *Any questions about the size of the stage for the U2 concert could be answered by taking one look at the playing field. Including one end zone, 70 yards were made up of dirt and brown and/or dead grass. The final 50 yards (including the second end zone) looked fine. The Redskins were scheduled to tear up the field and have it ready for the Chiefs game in two weeks. * Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell took the field at 12:17 p.m. There was neither applause nor boos. Maybe indifference and apathy have enveloped the franchise. *To recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month, several Redskins donned pink equipment. Tight end Chris Cooley, running back Clinton Portis, receiver Antwaan Randle El, cornerback DeAngelo Hall and linebacker Rocky McIntosh wore pink cleats. Several players, including Fred Davis, Ladell Betts, Reed Doughty, Mike Sellers, Fred Davis, Santana Moss, Kareem Moore and Chris Wilson, wore pink wristbands and gloves. The game officials also wore pink wristbands. Arizona receiver Larry Fitzgerald and Tanya Snyder, wife of Redskins owner Dan Snyder, are the program's co-spokespersons.
