Long ejected for throwing a punch

Rams defensive end Chris Long was ejected from Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers for throwing punches. He probably deserved that consequence.

What happened next was absolutely uncalled for. While Long was walking into the locker room at Bank of America Stadium, a fan threw a bottle at him.

Long wasn’t much of a factor in the action, totaling two tackles, including one for a loss. However, he did respond on Twitter after the game.
