Report: Rams hire Gregg Williams

The St. Louis Rams under new head coach Jeff Fisher, who is still finalizing contract deals, have started to assemble their staff.

The Rams agreed to hire New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams for the same position, NFL.com report.

Williams worked with Fisher in his days in Tennessee and seems like a natural fit.

Throughout Williams’ tenure in New Orleans, the Saints' defense improved and became known for bringing pressure through aggressive blitzes.

The Saints were knocked out of the playoffs last Saturday in a 36-32 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
