Megan Fox. In a bathtub. Need I say more? Well, OK. This was a good one, despite the fact her thumb was in the commercial. Actually, it didn’t look so bad, almost like a normal thumb, not like a big toe. Maybe she had a thumb stand-in. -- SW

Denny's -- Free Grand Slam
Denny’s used this spot to announce its free Grand Slam breakfast promotion. A warning is issued to egg-layers that this will be “a bad day to be a chicken.” The message may be a little scrambled here, but hey, a free meal is a free meal. Eggs over easy, please. -- JM

Volkswagen -- Shot in the arm
The ultimate bored-in-the-backseat game is revived here as folks from all walks of life punch each other in the shoulder upon seeing a certain color of car. Yellow one? Punch. Red one? Punch. Green one? Punch. And so on. Of course, all the cars are Volkswagens, which touts its 13 different models. Are they good cars? Who knows? But they sure are colorful. -- JG

KGB is a text message information service, and this spot reminds us all to be very careful what we text for. The wrong answer draws the ire of a very imposing Sumo wrestler. The guy who went to KGB for a translation escaped unscathed. Not bad. But not very memorable, either. -- JM

Michelob Ultra -- Lance Armstrong
OK, Michelob Ultra is supposed to be beer that’s not as bad for you as other beer. I get that. But it is still beer, right? Are we supposed to accept that Mr. Healthy, Lance Armstrong, one of the most highly conditioned athletes ever, cancer survivor, drinks Michelob Ultra just because it’s the healthy beer alternative? I’m not buying it. -- SW

Commercials with animals always seem to rate well. And sleep-walking is a nice tool for comedy, too. Combining the two? Very clever. My favorite part was when the hippo bit the boat in half. Well done. -- SW

I like when a commercial makes me think I’m watching a Christopher Guest movie. It’s no Best in Show, but this one’s a winner. Forget the game. Makes me want to fill out a census right now. -- SW

A life-sized sock monkey, a robot and a red monster you’ll recognize if you have kids all experience a wild weekend in a Kia. Not sure why this was funny, but it was. -- KL

HomeAway.com -- The Griswolds
Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo reprise their roles as quirky parents from the classic “Vacation” movies, except this time they’re exasperated travelers getting screwed by extra hotel charges. The solution, says the ad, is to rent a house. It’s a pretty good spot, but we were hoping Christie Brinkley would make an appearance at the hotel pool. This is crazy, this is crazy, this is crazy! -- JG
