Titans' Rolle fined for throat gesture

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Tennessee cornerback was fined $12,500 by the NFL on Thursday after he made a throat-slash gesture and celebrated an interception in Monday night's game against the New York . Rolle, who plans to appeal the fines, was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after apparently intercepting a ball in the end zone during the first quarter of the 24-17 loss.

The interception was eventually called back after it was ruled that Rolle bobbled the ball, but he was handed a $7,500 fine for apparently high-fiving teammate after the play.

Rolle was then issued a $5,000 fine by the league after he made two banned throat-slash gestures with his right hand that were directed towards a ' player.

Earlier this season, Rolle was fined $5,000 for dancing during Tennessee's 30-17 win over Miami on November 9. He appealed this one as well, although he does not expect to win the appeal.

Rolle has 15 tackles and four interceptions this season.
