Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said in Indianapolis Thursday that the team had agreed to a one-year deal with quarterback Trent Edwards.

Which teams hit it big with their staff changes? John Czarnecki breaks it down with his 10 biggest offseason moves.

"He has expressed a desire to be a part of our team. He's a guy that we liked and we saw him out there and we thought maybe he would be a good fit," Roseman said at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to the team's website.

"He's a guy who has had success in the NFL. He's started in this league, had won and has also had some adversity. When we see a guy out on the street that we think has some ability, we'll bring him in and we'll take a look and he knows nothing is promised in this game."

The terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

The 28-year-old, drafted by the Bills in 2007, likely will compete with Mike Kafka to become the team's backup quarterback behind Michael Vick, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Former University of Texas star Vince Young, the other quarterback currently under contract in Philadelphia, is likely to be dropped from the team, the newspaper reported.
