Former quarterback Craig Morton, who led both the Cowboys and Broncos to the Super Bowl in an 18-season career, is among former players suing the NFL for not doing enough the prevent head injuries.

The federal lawsuit filed this week claims the NFL had medical evidence of the toll head injuries take but "produced industry-funded, biased, and falsified research." It seeks unspecified damages for Morton, 70.

Another 39 players, including former Pro Bowler Koren Robinson, filed a federal lawsuit against the NFL and helmet maker Riddell over concussions this week, seeking $75,000 each and a medical monitoring program paid for by the NFL.

The NFL reached a $765 million settlement with former players earlier this year.
