Cowboys' Bryant to have MRI on knee
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has injured his right knee in practice against the San Diego Chargers.
Coach Jason Garrett said Monday that Bryant was having an MRI but ''hopefully this injury is not too severe.''
Another receiver, Andre Holmes, didn't practice because his back tightened up, and rookie receiver Donavon Kemp had an MRI after leaving practice with a left knee injury.
The Cowboys were already without their leading receiver, Miles Austin, who sat out both of the team's preseason games with a hamstring injury and isn't expected to practice this week.
Bryant caught two passes for 15 yards on Saturday in the Cowboys' 28-20 loss to the Chargers. Garrett says Bryant has been having an ''outstanding'' training camp.
On Saturday, rookie slot receiver Cole Beasley had seven catches for 104 yards.
