Most famous attendee of Johnny Manziel's pro day? Try a former president

Published Mar. 26, 2014 5:56 p.m. ET

Johnny Manziel decided not to throw at the NFL Scouting Combine or Texas A&M’s pro day earlier this month in anticipation for his private workout set for Thursday.

The Heisman Trophy winner will work out before a mass of NFL personnel, but he’ll also have some other special attendees.

Texas governor Rick Perry and former President George W. Bush will be in attendance to take in college football’s most polarizing player’s pro day, according to Fort Worth Star-Telegram writer Charean Williams.

While Manziel has been projected to go in the first round, his throwing style will be watched closely.
