Jones gives his side of party-bus mess
Jacoby Jones publicly discussed last weekend's party bus mini-scandal for the first time on Wednesday.
And a day after fellow Ravens receiver Torrey Smith insisted Tuesday that the whole thing has been blown way out of proportion, Jones echoed those sentiments.
The injured wideout/return man and Super Bowl hero did admit to being present on the party bus, where a number of Ravens players were celebrating tackle Bryant McKinnie‘s birthday Sunday night and into Monday morning, but he bluntly denied the story that a stripper named Sweet Pea had struck him over the head with a champagne bottle.
"I'm going to take the responsibility that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time," Jones told 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore, according to ESPN.com. "There was no altercation. There’s nothing wrong. I did nothing wrong but I take responsibility for being in wrong place at the wrong time. Enough said. I apologize to my teammates and everybody."
Sweet Pea herself then backed up Jones’ story on Twitter, saying that she and the other women on the bus were not strippers and that her argument with the receiver never became physical.

Jones, who has been out with a knee injury since getting blown up by a teammate during a season-opening loss in Denver, also insisted that there is no tension between him and head coach John Harbaugh.
"We’re good," he said. "We’re fine. Everything is good."
