Jay Cutler returns from locker room

Published Oct. 22, 2012 1:00 a.m. ET

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler returned in the second half after sustaining bruised ribs in the second quarter. Cutler was taken into the locker room before halftime to have his ribs evaluated.

Cutler, who was driven into the ground by Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, was tended to for minutes by team trainers. He returned to action after one play, but was escorted into the locker room after the series sputtered.

The Bears' franchise quarterback appeared to be in pain while leading the offense in the second half.
