Report: Fisher will talk to Kroenke

Jeff Fisher is set to interview Thursday with the St. Louis Rams, but the highly sought-after coach is expected to receive the most lucrative offer from the Miami Dolphins.

According the Miami Herald, which cited an NFL source and someone close to Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, the team is prepared to top any offer for the former Tennessee Titans coach.

Fisher, who interviewed with the Dolphins Tuesday, is aware of the team's willingness to make the best monetary offer, according to the report.

The Rams' billionaire owner Stan Kroenke is set to meet with Fisher Thursday in Denver, according to the NFL Network. Denver is home to Kroenke's other US sports franchises, the Nuggets and Avalanche.

Fisher could be lured to the Rams by the presence of young quarterback Sam Bradford, combined with the team owning significant salary cap space and the second overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Kroenke, who also owns a majority share in English soccer giant Arsenal, fired coach Steve Spagnuolo and general manager Billy Devaney on Monday following a joint-NFL worst 2-14 season.

Fisher parted ways with the Titans last January after more than 16 seasons, during which he established Tennessee as a regular playoff contender and took the 1999 team to the Super Bowl -- losing 23-16 to the Rams.
