Kurt Warner to host reality TV show
Retired NFL quarterback Kurt Warner will host a new reality show on USA Network that will give contestants the chance to pursue their dream careers, it was announced Wednesday.
The show, titled "The Moment," will feature contestants who have been secretly nominated by close friends and families.
"From race car driving to orchestra conducting to deep sea diving, they will leave behind the comforts of home and leap into a whirlwind of training," the cable network said in a statement announcing the nine-episode series.
At the end, contestants will have to decide whether they will leave the lives they have always known to pursue their ambitions.
The two-time MVP quarterback retired in 2010, capping his rags-to-riches football career. Undrafted out of Northern Iowa, Warner played in the Arena Football League for three years before finally getting a shot with the St. Louis Rams.
After starter Trent Green suffered a season-ending injury in 1999, Warner led the Rams to victory in Super Bowl XXXIV and was named MVP of the game. He made another Super Bowl appearance with the Arizona Cardinals three years ago, losing 27-23 to the Steelers.
In August 2010, Warner competed on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." He and his professional dance partner, Anna Trebunskaya, were eliminated in Week 8.
