McCoy fires, rehires Rosenhaus

Published Oct. 7, 2011 1:00 a.m. ET

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy fired agent Drew Rosenhaus earlier this week and then hired him back, Philadelphia Sports Daily reported Friday.

McCoy and his high-profile agent were having dinner at a Philadelphia restaurant Wednesday when an argument ensued, eyewitnesses told Sports Daily.

The Eagles top rusher reportedly left the restaurant without Rosenhaus and later faxed termination papers to the NFL Players Association. But McCoy apparently had a change of heart and rescinded the paperwork within 48 hours.

According to the report, players have five days to withdraw termination papers once they have been filed. Otherwise, they are required to hire new representation.

All appeared to be resolved by Thursday with McCoy writing on Twitter, "Everything happens for a reason Drew Rosenhus BEST AGENT OUT!!!!!"

Rosenhaus, who represents some of the game's biggest stars including McCoy's teammate DeSean Jackson, has not commented on the alleged spat.
