John Abraham wants to put the finishing touches on what he believes to be a Hall of Fame career while chasing his first Super Bowl.

The four-time Pro Bowl selection will attempt to accomplish both goals as a member of the Arizona Cardinals this season — and maybe one more.

The 35-year-old defensive end has agreed to a two-year deal worth a maximum of $6 million with the Cards after spending the last seven seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, a source told FOX Sports.

Abraham, the NFL's active sack leader with 122, needs 10 1/2 more sacks to crack the top 10 all-time. He'll also need some help from a Cardinals franchise that has reached only one Super Bowl in its history to reach the NFL's biggest stage for the first time in his career.

Abraham came close to his first Super Bowl with the Falcons over the past few years, but the team fell short each time. He was hampered by an ankle injury this past postseason and wasn't much of a factor in January. Abraham found the Falcons were interested in his return only at a reduced rate and a reduced role after the team signed former New York Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora. Abraham also learned other teams viewed him as a situational pass rusher and had to wait until the start of camp to land with the Cards.
