Jets' Holmes to miss Patriots game

Published Oct. 19, 2013 1:00 a.m. ET

New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes is out, as expected, for the team's game against the New England Patriots because of a hamstring injury.

It will be the third straight game Holmes will miss since tweaking a hamstring in New York's loss at Tennessee last month. Holmes said Thursday he is receiving treatment seven hours a day on the hamstring.

Wide receiver Greg Salas, signed this week from Philadelphia's practice squad, is also out with a knee injury.

Coach Rex Ryan says cornerbacks Dee Milliner (hamstring) and Kyle Wilson (concussion) were full participants in practice Friday, which means both are likely to play Sunday. Milliner missed three games after being hurt during practice three weeks ago. Wilson suffered a concussion last Sunday against Pittsburgh.
