Steelers rookie running back Le'Veon Bell has a Lisfranc foot injury will miss 6-8 weeks.

Bell underwent an MRI on Tuesday after he was hurt in the first quarter of a 24-13 loss to Washington on Monday night.

Bell rushed for nine yards on four carries against Washington in his professional debut. He sat out the preseason opener against the New York Giants with soreness in his left knee.

The Steelers took Bell 42nd overall in the draft last April, hoping he could become the feature back the team needed after Rashard Mendenhall left in free agency. Bell is competing with Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer for the starting job.
