Report: Sainz says no to Playboy

Published Oct. 15, 2010 1:00 a.m. ET

Mexican television reporter Ines Sainz, who claimed she was harassed by members of the New York Jets in September, announced that she has turned down an offer to pose nude for Playboy, TMZ.com reported Thursday.

The magazine approached the self-proclaimed "hottest sports reporter in Mexico" offering a huge payday and the cover shortly after the incident involving Jets players and coaches.

Sainz told reporters during a press conference that she had read several rumors regarding Playboy’s interest, but a week passed before an agent from the popular pin-up actually reached out to her.

“No thank you,” Sainz said to the magazine’s representative. “That’s not my style.”

Sainz was at a Jets practice to interview quarterback Mark Sanchez where she said one coach and various players tried to run at her and throw balls at her during a passing drill and that players made catcalls in the locker room towards her after practice.

"I die of embarrassment!" Sainz wrote in Spanish on her Twitter account. "I am in the locker room of the Jets waiting for Mark Sanchez while trying not to look to anywhere!"

The Jets escaped punishment over the incident, but owner Woody Johnson said he would underwrite a league-wide training program to be administered to rookies next year to teach them about proper behavior in the workplace.
