Reports: RB Mike Goodson a no-show at Jets' minicamp

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 6:37 p.m. ET

Jets running back Mike Goodson is skipping mandatory minicamp this week, according to multiple media reports.

The troubled running back, who was signed to a three-year, $6.9 million deal last offseason, has missed all of the team’s voluntary organized team activities, too.

With a team-sanctioned fine certainly looming, Goodson’s future with the team appears to be going off the rails. With running back Chris Johnson set to join Bilal Powell and Chris Ivory, it was a long shot Goodson would earn any piece of the workload.

Goodson, 27, received a four-game suspension last season after being arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and an illegal weapon. After appearing in two games in 2013, Goodson sustained a season-ending MCL and ACL injury.
