Incognito takes on Martin's team
Incognito has been suspended while the league investigates allegations of him bullying Martin. Incognito filed a grievance last Thursday. Meanwhile, Martin met with an independent arbitrator on Friday. As FOX Sports NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reported on Friday, the NFLPA was excluded from that meeting.
Incognito has reportedly asked the neutral arbitrator, Jonathan Marks, for an expedited hearing. According to FOX Sports Insider Jay Glazer, the hearing will be Thursday. In addition, representatives from the NFL will be meeting with Dolphins' players Monday through Wednesday.
According to a report on NFL.com, Incognito claims in his grievance that, "If any conduct has been detrimental to the team, it is the manner in which Mr. Martin's representatives, including Mr. (David) Cornwell on behalf of his client, have elected to vilify Mr. Incognito and the entire Dolphins organization in the court of public opinion."
Martin left the Dolphins amid reports that he had been bullied during his tenure within the organization. After speculation over the incident, the Dolphins suspended Incognito, who later sat down with Glazer to discuss his relationship with Martin.
