Rodgers-Cromartie's reps, Broncos met during NFL Combine
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is arguably the most productive cornerback available in free agency this offseason.
The Denver Broncos understand that and the team met with the sixth-year cornerback's reps in Indianapolis last week at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to a league source.
Rodgers-Cromartie, who has played for three teams in six seasons, is valued as the team's top priority, though other prominent players such as wide receiver Eric Decker and running back Knowshon Moreno are set to hit the market.
While a deal for the veteran cornerback isn't imminent, the sides have agreed to keep in touch in the coming weeks.
During Super Bowl week, Rodgers-Cromartie backed off his comments after saying that he would ponder retirement if the Broncos beat the Seahawks.
Rodgers-Cromartie, 27, signed a one-year $5 million deal with the Broncos last offseason after playing two years in Philadelphia. The Cardinals selected him in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
