Suspended New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton and his wife of nearly 20 years have filed dueling divorce petitions in Texas.

Payton filed a petition in Tarrant County district court seeking a divorce from Beth Payton on June 14. It lists the grounds as ''discord or conflict of personalities'' and seeks to divide the couple's assets and provide for joint custody of their two children.

Beth Payton filed a counter petition on June 26 requesting that she receive exclusive rights to designate the children's primary residence and make other decisions on their behalf.

The couple moved to an exclusive neighborhood in the Fort Worth suburb of Westlake in 2011.

Payton is currently suspended for the entire 2012 season for his role in the Saints’ bounty program, and the divorce petition indicates he already has have moved out of his Westlake home, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported. That was the residence he shared with Beth Payton and their two children, Meghan and Conner.

According to the Times-Picayune, Sean Payton's original petition for divorce said that he and Beth Payton hoped to divide their estate out of court and to hold joint custody of both children.

Beth Payton is requesting that Sean Payton pay child support as well as provide medical expenses for the children’s care, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported.

The couple would have marked their 20th anniversary on July 11.
