Former Saint Gleason, battling ALS, tweeted during game with his eyes

Former Saints safety Steve Gleason was responsible for the first major play in the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina when he blocked a punt that led to a score and sparked an inspiring 2006 season. There's even a statue to commemorate the moment. He now suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, and can no longer walk, talk or eat without assistance. But he hasn't stopped rooting for his team.

The Saints posted this vine days before Saturday's wild-card game at Philadelphia:

Technology allows Gleason to type and communicate using his eyes. He made sure to keep the Who Dat Nation entertained with his live tweeting of the game on Saturday. Here are some of his best tweets:
