Peter Tebow happy Broncos eliminated

The Denver Broncos just can’t escape the shadow of Tim Tebow.

After a particularly rough play for Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning during the Broncos' 38-35 double-overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens Saturday, Tebow's brother Peter tweeted a jibe about Manning.

Then minutes after the Ravens' game-winning field goal, set up by a  Manning interception, Tebow’s brother — who currently lives in Denver — celebrated the Broncos’ defeat on Twitter.

The Broncos have a complicated history with Tim Tebow. They drafted the former Heisman Trophy winner in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, and in his second season Tebow led Denver to an AFC wild-card upset of the Pittsburgh Steelers with a stunning 80-yard, game-winning touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas.

Despite that success, the Broncos pursued and eventually signed the record-setting, prized free agent Manning in the offseason, trading Tebow to the New York Jets. Tebow suffered through a season with more off-field controversy than on-field production in New York, completing just six passes for 39 yards and averaging 3.2 yards per carry.

After such a rough year, Peter Tebow’s tweet seems to confirm some lingering hard feelings between the Tebow family and Broncos organization.
