Smith emotional after TD reception
Torrey Smith took a knee and pointed to the sky after he hauled in a 25-yard touchdown reception from Joe Flacco. Smith, who is playing with a heavy heart because of the recent death of his younger brother, was then met by most of his teammates in an emotional scene after the catch.
Smith’s brother, Tevin Chris Jones, died on early Sunday morning after being involved in a motorcycle accident.
Head coach John Harbaugh gave Smith the option to not play in Sunday night’s game against the New England Patriots, but the second-year wide receiver decided to play. Smith was seen on the sideline wiping away tears following the Ravens’ first score.
"I can't believe my little brother is gone...be thankful for your loved ones and tell them you love them...this is the hardest thing ever," Smith said on his Twitter account.
