Sun. Nov 22, 2009 | Fanball
News: Ray Rice had 20 carries for 71 yards and chipped in seven receptions for 64 yards in the Week 11 loss to Indianapolis.
Impact: Rice, who is a top-five back in all formats, didn't hit paydirt but he continues to post outstanding yardage and reception digits. Next week, the Ravens face the Steelers, who field the top-ranked run defense in the league.
Sun. Nov 22, 2009 | Fanball
News: Derrick Mason compiled nine receptions for 142 yards in the Week 11 loss to Indianapolis.
Impact: In the last two games, Mason has posted 12 receptions for 220 yards, and continues to represent a serviceable No. 2 receiver and an outstanding No. 3 in all formats.
Nov 22, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (chest) had just two receptions for 15 yards in Sunday's loss to Indianapolis.
Impact: Joe Flacco put the ball in the air a good amount on Sunday, but most of his completions went to Derrick Mason and Ray Rice. Heap hasn't scored since Week 2, although he still remains a big part of Baltimore's offense.
Nov 22, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Mason caught a game-high nine passes for 142 yards in Sunday's 17-15 loss to Indianapolis.
Impact: If you take out two games against Cincinnati, Mason has been extremely productive this season. No other Baltimore wide receiver caught more than one pass on Sunday, so Mason dominated the action, as he's done most of the year.
Nov 22, 2009 | RotoWire
News: McGahee had six carries for 25 yards and caught one pass for seven yards in Sunday's loss to Indianapolis.
Impact: The game was close throughout, so it's not like McGahee was used in some type of blowout situation. McGahee hasn't been used much recently and while it's nice to see him involved again, he did not take advantage of a golden opportunity, getting stuffed on two straight plays from the goal line during the opening series of the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, Ray Rice put up his usual stats, totaling 135 yards on 27 touches. McGahee has been worked back into the rotation a bit, but unless something happens to Rice, McGahee's upside is limited.
Nov 22, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Rice ran the ball 20 times for 71 yards and caught seven passes for 64 yards in Sunday's 17-15 loss to Indianapolis.
Impact: Willis McGahee saw some work for the second straight week, rushing the ball six times for 25 yards, although he was stuffed on consecutive plays at the goal line in the fourth quarter. Even though Rice did not score on Sunday, he still put up 135 yards from scrimmage and caught seven passes.
Sun. Nov 22, 2009 | Fanball
News: Fabian Washington exited the game against Indianapolis in the fourth quarter with a left knee injury.
Impact: Rookie Lardarius Webb has replaced Washington, who appears to be done for the day.
Sun. Nov 22, 2009 | Fanball
News: Week 11 inactives: QB John Beck (3rd), LB Terrell Suggs, RB Matt Lawrence, OL Tony Moll, T Oniel Cousins, DT Brandon McKinney and DT Kelly Talavou.
Impact: TE Todd Heap (chest) is active and will start. On defense, rookie LB Paul Kruger will replace Suggs, who is out due to a knee injury. Also, stud DT Haloti Ngata (ankle) and LB Jarret Johnson (shoulder) are active and will start.
Sun. Nov 22, 2009 | Fanball
News: According to the Indianapolis Star, Terrell Suggs has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts with a knee injury.
Impact: Suggs is still ailing from the hit that Brady Quinn delivered last Monday and has been diagnosed with an MCL sprain. Whether he is lost for the season has yet to be determined, but he definitely won't play in Week 11.
Nov 22, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Gooden (concussion) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Impact: He's out there if you need him, but with 29 tackles in eight games, Gooden operates on the fantasy fringe.
Nov 22, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Impact: His return is a nice boost for the Ravens' D, in particular with regards to stopping the run, as they try to slow down the undefeated Colts this weekend.
Nov 22, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (chest) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Impact: He's out there, but if Heap is slowed or suffers a setback, we could see more of L.J. Smith than usual Sunday.
Sat. Nov 21, 2009 | Fanball
News: Updating a previous report, the Carroll County Times does not believe that tight end Todd Heap (ribs) will play in Sunday's game.
Impact: Heap was originally expected to start, but the injury kept him out of practice all week. He'll be a game-time decision, but expect L.J. Smith to play in his place. MRI's proved that the ribs are not fractured, so he could be able to play next week, assuming he returns to practice.
Sat. Nov 21, 2009 | Fanball
News: The Baltimore Sun reports that defensive end Haloti Ngata claims he will play against the Colts on Sunday despite his ankle injury.
Impact: We'll wait to hear from the coaching staff instead of trusting the words out of the horse's mouth, but Ngata seems confident he'll get on the field. Assuming he does play, the run-stuffing defender will give Joseph Addai plenty of problems.
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Coach John Harbaugh said there is no injury concern with Flacco even though he has been listed on the Ravens' practice participation/ injury report this week with a knee issue, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Flacco hasn't missed any practice time, underlining that whatever is ailing his knee is minor. He'll take aim at a banged-up Colts' secondary this week that will be starting two rookie cornerbacks.
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata says he will play Sunday against the Colts after missing two games with an ankle injury, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Assuming that's the case, it's great news for the Ravens, in particular with regards to stopping the run, as they try to take down the undefeated Colts this weekend. Ngata is officially listed as questionable on the Ravens' Week 11 injury report, despite his optimism.
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (chest) is a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Colts, the Baltimore Sun reports. "It's going to be sore. That's the biggest thing," Heap said Friday. "I've been battling all week. So, we'll see how it goes on Sunday."
Impact: Heap has had something of a renaissance this season, with 349 yards (good for 14th in the league) and two TDs in nine games to date, but you can probably find a less risky option this week. Either way, his status will be known prior to the first wave of kickoffs Sunday.
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | Fanball
News: Joe Flacco fully practiced Friday, according to the Ravens' official website.
Impact: Flacco is nursing a knee ailment, but is expected to be good to go for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | Fanball
News: Haloti Ngata was limited in practice for the third straight day Friday, according to the Ravens' official website. He is still recovering from his ankle ailment.
Impact: Ngata will be questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts. He is a solid defensive end, and will be needed while the club tries to slow down Peyton Manning and Co.
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | STATS
News: Edwards plans to appeal the $5,000 fine he received for a hit delivered to Cleveland Browns wide receiver Joshua Cribbs on Monday night.
Impact: Edwards said Friday he will appeal in an effort "to get some of it back."' He said the fine was levied because the hit came at a time when Cribbs "supposedly shouldn't have reasonably expected it."
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Gooden (concussion) practiced fully again Friday and is listed probable for Sunday's game against the Colts, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: With 29 tackles in eight games, Gooden is firmly on the fantasy bubble, as been unable to match the production of Bart Scott, whose spot he took over this season.
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | Fanball
News: L.J. Smith is prepared to start at tight end this Sunday if Todd Heap is unable to go because of a chest injury, according to the Carroll County Times.
Impact: The former Eagle has just one catch for 26 yards in 2009. If you are starting Heap and he is unable to go this weekend, Smith would not be an adequate one week fill-in.
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | Fanball
News: Todd Heap (chest) is expected to play on Sunday, according to the Carroll County Times.
Impact: The Ravens are still prepping L.J. Smith to be able to start, however. Consider Heap a game-time decision.
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | RotoWire
News: With Terrell Suggs out with a knee injury, Kruger will probably make his first NFL start Sunday against the Colts, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Suggs' owners scrambling for a replacement might want to consider Kruger if there are slim pickings on the waiver wire this week.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Suggs believes that his sprained right knee is not a season-ending injury, the Baltimore Sun reports. "There is no doubt in my mind that I should be back this year," Suggs said. "That's the plan. That's where I'm at with it."
Impact: Suggs won't play this week, but said he hasn't been ruled out for the team's Nov. 29 game against the Steelers. "That's the game you definitely don't want to miss," Suggs said. "Hopefully, I can miraculously heal and try to get back to play." Don't count on that, but we could see Suggs at some point down the stretch.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | Fanball
News: Dwan Edwards has been fined $5,000 by the league for his hit on Browns' receiver Josh Cribbs, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Impact: The hit didn't look like a cheap shot, and Cribbs said today that he didn't think there was anything wrong with it. The league obviously disagreed, so Edwards will be hit with the fine.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | Fanball
News: Ravens' tight end Todd Heap did not practice on Thursday due to a chest injury, according to beat writer Jamison Hensley. Heap's status will be known later in the week.
Impact: Heap hasn't practiced yet this week, but there is still hope that he will be able to go on Sunday. He will likely need to practice at least a bit tomorrow if he wants to play, so we should know more then.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (chest) did not work during the media access portion of Thursday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: As was the case Wednesday, Heap was present at practice, but he wore a baseball cap and sweatpants. More on his status Friday.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | Fanball
News: Terrell Suggs could miss the rest of the season with his knee injury, according to ESPN.
Impact: Who would have ever thought Brady Quinn was capable of stirring up so much trouble? Suggs' MCL sprain is "severe," and his agent is the one fueling specualation that he could be done for '09. The team says he's not, and his status should be updated on a week-to-week basis.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: There are fears the knee sprain that will sideline Suggs Sunday will keep him out for several weeks, the Baltimore Sun reports. "He's out this week, that's the ruling that we know," coach Jim Harbaugh said. "It's got to heal on its own. There is no procedure that can be done. We'll just see how it goes."
Impact: Suggs was spotted limping and wearing a heavy brace on his knee Wednesday, which lends some credence to the talk that this is something that will extend beyond this week.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Gooden (concussion) fully participated in Wednesday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: We'll have to see how the Ravens list Gooden Friday, but his participation Wednesday is an encouraging sign regarding his Week 11 availability.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (chest) was spotted on the sideline at Wednesday's practice wearing a baseball cap, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Since he doesn't play for the Orioles, we'll chalk this one up as a "Wednesday/did not practice" for Heap, who is dealing with a chest injury. We'll revisit his status Thursday.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | Fanball
News: As expected, the Baltimore Ravens have officially ruled out Terrell Suggs for this week's game against the Colts, according to the Baltimore Sun. Suggs is expected to miss two-to-three weeks with a sprained ligament in his right knee.
Impact: Suggs should be able to come back in a few weeks, as the injury isn't nearly as bad as the team originally feared. Expect rookie Paul Kruger to see more opportunities with Suggs out.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Suggs has an MCL sprain that will sideline him at least two weeks, ESPN reports.
Impact: Suggs might be back in time for the fantasy playoffs, but he's only worth hanging on to as an IDP for those with plenty of roster space/flexibility.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata (ankle) is optimistic that he will be able to play Sunday against the Colts, the Baltimore Sun reports. "The ankle feels good. I was warming up for the game on Monday [against the Browns], but just a few little things where I didn't feel entirely good. Like changing direction quickly. But that was probably the only thing," Ngata said. "Hopefully, we'll get that better this week, and I'll go on Sunday."
Impact: When asked to assess the health of his ankle, Ngata, who was limited at practice Wednesday, said, "I'm probably like 75-80 [percent]. It's feeling good. Just some little things I've got to work on. I feel like I'm going to be definitely playing on Sunday."
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | STATS
News: The Baltimore Ravens have signed Cundiff, who once enjoyed success with the Dallas Cowboys and was perfect in a brief stint with Cleveland this season.
Impact: The 29-year-old Cundiff replaces an ineffective Steve Hauschka, who was cut Tuesday after missing a field goal and having an extra point blocked in Monday night's 16-0 win over the Browns. Cundiff has made 66 of 89 field-goal attempts. He kicked for the Cowboys from 2002-05 and was 6 for 6 on field goal tries with Cleveland as a replacement for the injured Phil Dawson.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | Fanball
News: The Baltimore Ravens have placed safety Haruki Nakamura on injured reserve, ending his 2009 season, according to the Twitter page of beat writer Jamison Hensley. Nakamura broke his right ankle on the opening kickoff Monday night.
Impact: Tough break for Nakamura, who was having a nice season for the Ravens' special teams unit. He will be missed by Baltimore, but fantasy owners should be just fine, as he held no IDP value.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | Fanball
News: The Baltimore Ravens have signed kicker Billy Cundiff, according to Ravens' beat writer Aaron Wilson. The team waived starting kicker Steven Hauschka on Tuesday.
Impact: Cundiff is nothing special, but if you need help in the kicking game he might be worth a look. The job is his as long as he doesn't blow it like Hauschka did.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | Fanball
News: According to the Baltimore Sun, rookie defensive end Paul Kruger may see his role with the team increase thanks to the injury to Terrell Suggs. Kruger has only been active twice for the team this season.
Impact: If Suggs misses significant time, someone will have to step up to get pressure on the quarterback, and Kruger looks like a good candidate. He has struggled a bit in his transition from college, but this guy has a ton of talent and could be a nice situational pass-rusher.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Gooden suffered another concussion in Monday's win over the Browns and didn't play during the majority of the second half, the Carroll County Times reports.
Impact: Given his history of concussions -- this year and also in the past -- Gooden is looking very iffy, at least for Week 11's game against the Colts.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap, who left Monday's game with a chest injury, is a question mark for Sunday's game against the Colts, the Carroll County Times reports.
Impact: We'll track Heap's status in the coming days, starting with his participation (or lack thereof) at Wednesday's practice.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Suggs (knee) has been ruled out of this week's matchup against the Colts, reports Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun.
Impact: This is a big blow to the Ravens defense, who will need all the help they can get stopping Peyton Manning and the undefeated Colts. Suggs has 42 tackles and 3.5 sacks through nine games.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: The Ravens have signed Cundiff, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: He'll take the place of Steven Hauschka, who was waived Tuesday. Cundiff is journeyman kicker, but he could put up serviceable fantasy stats with the 5-4 Ravens. Now that every team has had a bye week though, there's probably no rush to pick Cundiff up, unless he gets hot.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | Fanball
News: Updating an earlier report, Terrell Suggs only suffered a minor tear of his MCL, and will be on the shelf for at least 2-3 weeks, according to the Aaron Wilson's (Ravens Insider) twitter page.
Impact: This is better news, after there was fear that Suggs could miss the remainder of season. Talented rookie Paul Kruger will be afforded more playing time in his absence, and could be worth a look as a flier for IDP leagues.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | RotoWire
News: The Ravens have cut Hauschka, Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Not much surprise here as Hauschka missed a field goal in the 30-39 yard range for the second straight game on Monday night. Mike Nugent is believed to be the leading candidate to replace him, but the Ravens will likely make a signing official after they audition a few other options this week.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | Fanball
News: Terrell Suggs could potentially be done for 2009 after suffering a knee injury in Monday's win at Cleveland, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.
Impact: The star pass rusher is on the shelf indefinitely, and the Ravens are awaiting the results of his MRI. Quarterback Brady Quinn lunged at Suggs' knees following his second interception, and the team is outraged by the alleged cheap shot.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | STATS
News: Mason had three catches for 78 yards in a 16-0 win Monday at Cleveland.
Impact: The former Tennessee Oilers draft pick remained stuck on four touchdowns for the second straight week. The veteran has a short week to try to get untracked against the banged-up secondary of unbeaten Indianapolis.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | STATS
News: Heap had four catches for 43 yards in a 16-0 win Monday at Cleveland.
Impact: Heap has not reached the end zone since the Ravens' second game of the season and may have to step out of his low-key demeanor and demand the ball from Ravens QB Joe Flacco.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | STATS
News: Rice rushed 20 times for 89 yards and a TD in a 16-0 win Monday at Cleveland. He also had three receptions for 15 yards and threw an incompletion on a third-down pass play.
Impact: Rice could have topped 100 yards if not for the ill-advised pass attempt. He has five rushing TDs in the last four games for the Ravens.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | STATS
News: Flacco was 13 of 18 for 155 yards and no TDs or INTs in a 16-0 win Monday at Cleveland.
Impact: Flacco provided little fantasy value on a dreary night in Cleveland, but he didn't sound too disappointed in letting down his fantasy owners. "I guess I agree it wasn't pretty," he said. "It was an ugly win, but that's the way some wins are in the NFL."
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | STATS
News: Suggs is missing his first NFL game after being placed on the Baltimore Ravens' inactive list Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
Impact: Suggs has a sprained ligament in his right knee. Suggs was injured on an illegal chop block by Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn following an interception by the Ravens on Monday night in Baltimore's 16-0 win
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | Fanball
News: Ravens beat writer Aaron Wilson is reporting that the team has released kicker Steven Hauschka. No replacement has been named by the team at this point.
Impact: We knew Hauschka's job was in jeopardy, so this move is not a surprise. The Ravens will bring someone in tomorrow or Thursday, so if you have been holding onto Hauschka you can get rid of him now.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | STATS
News: The Baltimore Ravens have cut Hauschka, who missed a 36-yard field goal and had a conversion blocked in Monday night's 16-0 win over Cleveland.
Impact: No replacement was immediately announced. Former Jets kicker Mike Nugent and former Cowboys kicker Billy Cundiff worked out for the team last week.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | Fanball
News: The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Ravens' kicker Steven Hauschka's job is in jeopardy. Hauschka was on thin ice heading into Monday night's game, and he missed a 36-yard field goal and had a PAT blocked.
Impact: Hauschka keeps struggling, and for some reason the team continues to give him chances. Don't be shocked at all if there is a new kicker taking the attempts for the Ravens this week.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Joe Flacco completed 13-of-18 passes for 155 yards in Monday night's 16-0 win at Cleveland. He did not throw any touchdowns or interceptions.
Impact: Flacco did a good job managing the offense for Baltimore, but did not do enough to help fantasy owners. He has not thrown a touchdown pass over his last two outings, and has not topped 200 yards over his last three.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Derrick Mason performed well in Monday night's 16-0 win at Cleveland, as he hauled in three passes for a game-high 78 receiving yards.
Impact: This was an encouraging outing for the 35-year-old vet, as he only racked up 71 total receiving yards over his previous two games. He will try to stay on track against a tough Colts' pass defense in Week 11.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Ray Rice ran hard in Monday night's 16-0 win at rival Cleveland, as he racked up 89 rushing yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. He also caught three passes for 15 receiving yards.
Impact: Fantasy owners should be pleased with 104 total yards and a touchdown from the rising star. He has scored a touchdown in five straight games, and will aim to extend his streak against Indianapolis in Week 11.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Terrell Suggs went down with a sprained knee in Monday night's battle at Cleveland, according to the Ravens' official twitter page.
Impact: Suggs' return is doubtful. He is a key contributor to the Ravens' pass rush, and would be a tough loss if forced to miss time beyond tonight.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Mason caught three passes for 78 yards in Baltimore's 16-0 victory over the Browns on Monday night.
Impact: It is a sign of what a slow game it was that Mason was by far the night's receiving star with his mere three catches.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Flacco completed 13 of 18 passes for 155 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions in Baltimore's 16-0 victory over the Browns on Monday night.
Impact: Flacco's performance was as boring as this game as the Ravens simply never asked him to do much of anything. He actually finished with good peripherals (72.2 completion percentage and 8.6 yards per attempt), but when you only attempt 18 passes, the numbers just aren't going to be there.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Rice carried 20 times for 89 yards and a touchdown and added three receptions for 15 yards in Baltimore's 16-0 victory over the Browns on Monday night.
Impact: Rice didn't have the monster game that many expected against the putrid Browns, but he continued to prove what a consistent performer he is by posting 114 total yards and a score.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | STATS
News: Nakamura left the Ravens' game with a broken ankle Monday.
Impact: The injury likely will keep him out the rest of the season. He's important on special teams but doesn't start.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Updating an earlier report, Haruki Nakamura suffered a broken right ankle on the opening kickoff of tonight's game at Cleveland, according to the Ravens' official twitter page.
Impact: Nakamura is a good contributor on special teams coverage, but won't be missed in IDP leagues as a backup safety.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Haruki Nakamura was injured on the opening kickoff of tonight's game at Cleveland, according to the Ravens' official twitter page. He was grasping his right knee and ankle.
Impact: The trainers are checking him out, and he is leaving the game on a cart. He is a good special teams performer, but holds little value for IDP leagues as a backup safety.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Ravens inactives: John Beck (third QB), LB Antwan Barnes, DL Haloti Ngata, RB Jalen Parmele, DL Kelly Talavou, RB Matt Lawrence, OL Oniel Cousins, OT Tony Moll.
Impact: Ngata is a solid defensive end, and will be missed while unable to play due to his ailing ankle. Star linebacker Ray Lewis (foot) is active however.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Ray Lewis is active for tonight's game at Cleveland, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Impact: Lewis was a game-time call due to a foot injury, but was deemed fit to battle the rival Browns.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Webb (illness) is active for Monday night's game against the Browns.
Impact: He'll be a depth guy in the Ravens' secondary on Monday night.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Washington (back) is active for Monday night's game against the Browns.
Impact: Washington isn't a gamebreaker, but he consistently provides between 40 and 60 receiving yards with only a few off weeks. He should be close to full speed on Monday night.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Washington (thigh) is active for Monday night's game against the Browns.
Impact: A couple of the Ravens' defensive backs are slightly nicked up, but Cleveland doesn't have the aerial firepower to exploit them.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Reed (wrist) is active for Monday night's game against the Browns.
Impact: Reed participated fully in practice all week so there wasn't much doubt about his status.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata (ankle) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Browns.
Impact: Justin Bannan will start in Ngata's place, but the Browns will probably still struggle to accomplish much on the ground.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Lewis (foot) is active for Monday night's game against the Browns.
Impact: Lewis participated fully in Saturday's practice, so there wasn't much concern about his availability for this game.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (ankle) is active for Monday night's game against the Browns.
Impact: Heap hasn't scored since Week 2, but he's been reliably contributing around 40 receiving yards each week. He's not expected to be limited by the ankle on Monday night.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | Fanball
News: Ed Reed fully practiced Saturday, according to the Ravens' official website.
Impact: Reed is expected to play in Monday night's game at rival Cleveland. The elite free safety hauled in an interception against the Browns back in Week 3.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | Fanball
News: Todd Heap fully practiced Saturday, according to the Ravens' official website. He has been dealing with an ankle ailment.
Impact: Heap remains on track to play in Monday night's game at Cleveland. He caught four passes for 41 yards in his last meeting with the Browns back in Week 3.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | Fanball
News: Updating an earlier report, Haloti Ngata will be a game-time call for Monday night's outing at Cleveland, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.
Impact: Ngata missed his first NFL start last week with a sprained ankle, but he expects to return against the Browns. He is a solid defensive end when healthy.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | Fanball
News: Updating an earlier report, Ray Lewis (foot) will be a game-time call for Monday night's battle at Cleveland, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.
Impact: Lewis practiced today, and head coach John Harbaugh noted that he has a good chance to play. Lewis is also optimistic of playing, and stated that he feels great.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Webb is listed as questionable on the Ravens' Week 10 injury report after he missed Saturday's practice due to illness, the team's official site reports.
Impact: It sounds like Webb may be a game-time decision for Monday night, but his status won't be as crucial to the Ravens with Fabian Washington (thigh) listed as probable against the Browns.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Reed (wrist) fully participated in practice for the third straight day on Saturday, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: He's officially listed as probable, but we expect to see Reed on the field and in the starting lineup against the Browns on Monday night.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Lewis (foot) was a full participant in Saturday's practice, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: He missed practice on Thursday and Friday, but his return on Saturday has prompted the Ravens to list him as probable on their official injury report. Lewis should be fine to start in his usual spot at middle linebacker on Monday night.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Washington (back) fully participated in practice for the third straight day on Saturday, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: While he's listed as probable and should play against the Browns on Monday night, Washington isn't much of a fantasy option outside of very deep leagues where he could serve as a bye-week replacement.

News: Heap (ankle) was a full participant in practice for the third straight day on Saturday, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: Barring an unforeseen setback, he'll be ready to start on Monday night against Cleveland. The Ravens have listed him as probable on their official injury report for Week 10.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Washington (thigh) fully participated in practice on Saturday, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: He should be ready to start against the Browns on Monday night, as the Ravens are listing him as probable on their official injury report for Week 10.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata (ankle) was limited in practice for the second straight day on Saturday, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: He's officially listed as questionable on the team's Week 10 injury report, but Ngata's availability against the Browns will be a game-time decision on Monday night.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | Fanball
News: The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Ravens' defensive tackle Haloti Ngata worked in practice on Saturday. Ngata was limited in Friday's practice due to an ankle injury.
Impact: Ngata was reportedly moving well today, so it looks like he should be able to go Monday. We will keep you updated on his status, but today was certainly a good sign.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | Fanball
News: According to the Baltimore Sun, Ravens' linebacker Ray Lewis returned to practice on Saturday. Lewis was held out of the last two sessions due to a foot injury.
Impact: Lewis worked with the linebackers during drills today, and he should be fine for Monday night's game against the Browns. The Ravens' defense figures to have a very good night against the miserable Cleveland offense.
Fri. Nov 13, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Reed (wrist) was listed as a limited participant in Friday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Reed is also still dealing with some nerve issues in his neck and shoulder region, but he should be able to play against the Browns on Monday night.
Fri. Nov 13, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata (ankle) was a limited participant in Friday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: The Ravens hope to get him back to help shut down Jamal Lewis and the Browns' rushing attack.
Fri. Nov 13, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Lewis (foot) was held out of Friday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: The Ravens haven't said much about Lewis' status for Monday night's game against the Browns, so you'll want to check back on his official injury report designation on Saturday if you're considering him as an IDP.
Fri. Nov 13, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Washington (back) was listed as a full participant in Friday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Washington should be able to go against the Browns on Monday night, but you may want to look elsewhere for wide receiver options as Washington has just 137 yards and no touchdowns over his last four games.
Fri. Nov 13, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (ankle) was listed as a full participant in Friday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Heap has just 136 yards and no touchdowns in his last four games, so you may want to look elsewhere for tight end options this week. Heap will match up against the Browns on Monday night.
Thu. Nov 12, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the Ravens remain committed to Hauschka as their kicker, the Baltimore Sun reports. "Steve is our kicker. He'll be out kicker Monday night and going forward," Harbaugh said. "We said it all along. Steve is a talented kicker. His percentage is actually way above what some guys have had who have gone on to become very good kickers in this league. But we want him to make kicks right now."
Impact: Perhaps the endorsement will help Hauschka approach Week 10's Monday night game with more of a clear mind. Harbaugh's faith in the young kicker seems genuine, and Hauschka's job is evidently not in any immediate danger, but obviously he'll need to get back on track to quiet the whispers that he's on a short leash.
Thu. Nov 12, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Lewis (foot) did not practice Thursday.
Impact: We'll check back on his status Friday, but so far there are no red flags regarding Lewis' availability for Monday's game against the Browns.
Thu. Nov 12, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Washington (thigh) is considered a question mark for Monday night's game against the Browns, the Annapolis Capital reports. "I'm a little hurt, but I'm going to try to play," Washington said.
Impact: If he is unable to go Monday, then Lardarius Webb would be in line for his first career NFL start.
Thu. Nov 12, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata expects to return from his sprained right ankle to play against the Browns Monday, the Annapolis Capital reports.
Impact: His return would be a nice boost to the Run D of the 4-4 Ravens.
Wed. Nov 11, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Reed's lingering issues with a nerve impingement seem to be affecting his tackling abilities, the Carroll County Times reports.
Impact: The impingement affects Reed's neck and shouler and could be limiting him to one full-strength arm, contributing to his three or four missed tackles on Sunday. Reed wouldn't admit to the injury hindering at all however, saying the missed tackles were a result of trying to strip the ball. He still managed to force and recover a Chad Ochocinco fumble, so his status as a turnover-causing machine doesn't appear affected.
Wed. Nov 11, 2009 | RotoWire
News: McGahee was slated to play a few series during Sunday's loss to Cincinnati according to coach John Harbaugh, but stayed on the bench due to Ray Rice's effectiveness, the Carroll County Times reports.
Impact: With Rice not showing any sign of slowing, don't expect McGahee to see significant playing time any time soon. "It's hard to refute with what Ray's done," Harbaugh said. "You look at that game on offense, Ray was the guy making the plays. So, it's pretty hard to take him off the field when he's making the plays. I don't think it has anything to do with Willis as much as it has to do with the way Ray's playing."
Wed. Nov 11, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Hauschka, who has made 8-of-11 field goals to date, received a vote of confidence -- for now -- from coach John Harbaugh, the Baltimore Sun reports. "Steve works really hard, he's really got a lot of talent. He's our best option," coach John Harbaugh said Tuesday.
Impact: That said, the team worked out fellow kickers Mike Nugent and Billy Cundiff, so without Hrabaugh or the Ravens saying so, it looks like Hauschka could be on something of a short leash.
Tue. Nov 10, 2009 | STATS
News: Mason had just three catches for 31 yards in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Bengals.
Impact: The Ravens visit Cleveland on Monday, and Mason had five receptions for a season-best 118 yards and a score in Baltimore's 34-3 win over the Browns in Week 3.
Tue. Nov 10, 2009 | STATS
News: Rice rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown and caught eight passes for 87 yards in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Bengals.
Impact: The Ravens visit Cleveland on Monday, and Rice, who has four TDs in his last three games, rushed for 48 yards with a TD in Baltimore's 34-3 win over the Browns in Week 3.
Tue. Nov 10, 2009 | STATS
News: Flacco completed 18 of 32 passes for 195 yards and two interceptions in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Bengals.
Impact: The Ravens visit Cleveland on Monday, and Flacco, who had three touchdowns and no interceptions in his previous two games, passed for 342 yards and one TD in Baltimore's 34-3 win over the Browns in Week 3.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Mason had just three receptions for 31 yards during Sunday's loss to Cincinnati.
Impact: Still, it was a better showing than Mason's last outing against the Bengals this season in which he was held without a catch. The success of the Ravens' passing attack has varied wildly depending upon the matchup, and so have Mason's numbers. Sunday's game in Cleveland ought to be a bounce back considering Mason's earlier success against the Browns this season (five catches, 118 yards, TD) and that Cleveland lacks the formidable pass rush that has been the Achilles heel for Baltimore. Despite just three receptions, Mason was targeted 13 times Sunday, suggesting that despite a couple of lackluster performances, he still figures very heavily in the Ravens' passing game.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: McClain had two carries and two receptions for 26 total yards during Sunday's loss to Cincinnati.
Impact: McClain's role in the Ravens' offense is a shadow of what it was last season but at least he's not Willis McGahee, who failed to touch the ball despite being healthy for the first time since Week 4, 2004. Neither McClain nor McGahee have any business still being on fantasy rosters except as Ray Rice insurance policies.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Flacco completed 18-of-32 passes for 195 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's loss to Cincinnati.
Impact: Flacco's combined stats in two meetings with the Bengals this season: 40-of-63 passing for 385 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions. Flacco, and the Ravens as a whole, have been at their absolute worst when playing Cincinnati in 2009. He is still a viable fantasy option granted you're mindful of the matchup, and a week 10 trip to Cleveland should prove more fruitful. Flacco recorded a season-high 111.8 passer-rating against the Browns earlier this season, throwing for 342 yards and a touchdown.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Hauschka missed a 38-yarder midway through the 4th quarter, contributing to the Ravens' stalled comeback effort during Sunday's loss to Cincinnati.
Impact: That's Hauschka's second big crunch-time miss this season following a missed 44-yarder in the final seconds of Week 6's loss to Minnesota. Sunday's miss was even more disappointing after last week's solid effort. Hauschka's a young kicker, so we'll see how he responds. It doesn't help that he has to follow in the footsteps of Ravens' legend Matt Stover.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Clayton recorded just one catch for 15 yards during Sunday's loss to Cincinnati.
Impact: It was a rough day for the Ravens' pass offense as a whole, as quarterback Joe Flacco struggled against a consistent Bengals' pass rush. This week's game against the Browns should be better, but Clayton's numbers this season have been middling.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Washington was held to just one reception for 10 yards during Sunday's loss to Cincinnati.
Impact: Washington usually sees a few more receptions as a sure-handed option on third downs. A constant Bengals' pass rush and an off day from quarterback Joe Flacco limited the production of all potential beneficiaries in the Ravens' pass game, however. Washington should be back to putting up better, but unspectacular, numbers against a bad Browns defense next week.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Washington limped off the field early in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Bengals with a thigh bruise, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Washington, who has 30 tackles in eight games thus far, was replaced in the game by Lardarius Webb, who probably played well enough in relief to carve out some additional playing time going forward.
Nov 8, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (ankle) had just three receptions for 28 yards in Sunday's 17-7 loss.
Impact: Baltimore possessed the ball for just 20 minutes and Joe Flacco had an off day, throwing for only 195 yards with a pair of interceptions, both of which did not help Heap's cause. Heap still hasn't scored since Week 2, but at least he was able to play Sunday and didn't appear to have any setbacks.
Nov 8, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Rice scored Baltimore's lone touchdown in Sunday's 17-7 loss at Cincinnati. Rice had 48 yards on 12 carries and caught a game-high eight passes for 87 yards.
Impact: Even though the Ravens trailed for the entire game, Rice was able to stay involved because of his strong receiving skills. Rice's touchdown came from two yards out, so he's even getting work at the goal line, an area of the field that Willis McGahee was featured earlier in the season. McGahee failed to record a single carry on Sunday, however, and seems to be a forgotten player in Baltimore.
Nov 8, 2009 | RotoWire
News: McGahee did not touch the ball in Sunday's 17-7 loss at Cincinnati.
Impact: Baltimore trailed by 14 points after one quarter, so they never were able to establish the running game. With that said, Ray Rice was still productive (20 touches, 135 yards from scrimmage) and was the runner that scored from two yards out in the fourth quarter. Unless Rice suffers some sort of injury, it does not appear that McGahee is going to have much value moving forward.
Sun. Nov 8, 2009 | STATS
News: Ngata missed the Ravens' 16-0 win at Cleveland on Monday night, the second straight game he's been out with a sprained ankle.
Impact: Ngata hurt his ankle during a 30-7 win over Denver on Nov. 1, leaving Baltimore without its biggest run-stuffer.
Nov 8, 2009 | RotoWire
News: McClain (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Impact: Ray Rice and Willis McGahee have been able to stay healthy thus far, which has limited McClain's impact this season.
Nov 8, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Impact: Feel free to use Heap (who is averaging 39.7 receiving yards per game thus far) if he is one you'd normally consider. He hasn't scored since Week 2 but did record his season-high in catches (seven) in Week 5 against Cincinnati.
Nov 8, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Impact: Ngata's absence is a big hit to the Ravens' run D this week, which is good news for Cedric Benson owners.
Fri. Nov 6, 2009 | RotoWire
News: McClain (shoulder) practiced fully Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: With Ray Rice and Willis McGahee both remaining healthy, McClain's impact has been limited thus far, but he'd be worth scooping up if something happened to either one of the aforementioned duo.
Fri. Nov 6, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (ankle) practiced fully Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: Heap, who is averaging 39.7 receiving yards per game thus far, slots in as a decent bye week plug-in type at tight end this season. He hasn't scored since Week 2, but did record his season-high in catches (seven) in Week 5 against Cincinnati.
Fri. Nov 6, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata did not practice this week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: With 19 tackles and half a sack in seven games, Ngata isn't much of an IDP, but he is a key cog in the Ravens' run D, so if he is out or limited this week, Cedric Benson would be catching a break.
Fri. Nov 6, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata (ankle) missed practice for the second consecutive day on Thursday, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Ngata's likely absence would be a big blow to the Ravens' run defense this Sunday against the Bengals, especially considering Cedric Benson racked up 120 yards and a touchdown the last time the two teams met. Justin Bannan is a more than capable backup, but isn't quite the same force as Ngata.
Thu. Nov 5, 2009 | RotoWire
News: McClain (shoulder) participated in Thursday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: McClain, who was limited Thursday, should be fine this weekend, but with Ray Rice and Willis McGahee both healthy, his impact has been limited thus far.
Thu. Nov 5, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (ankle) participated in Thursday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: More on Heap's status Friday, but we expect him to play Sunday against the Bengals. He was officially listed as "limited" Thursday.
Wed. Nov 4, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata (ankle) wasn't at the media access portion of Wednesday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: "We're hopeful that he'll be there," coach John Harbaugh said of Ngata's status for Sunday's game against the Bengals. "It's a good chance that he will. If not, someone else will play." We'll track Ngata's participation in the coming days, but a "questionable" designation Friday is probably where this is headed.
Wed. Nov 4, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Though Reed wore a brace at Wednesday's practice that extended from his from his forearm to his wrist, he was not listed on the Ravens' practice participation/injury report.
Impact: It's safe to roll with Reed this week if he is one of your IDPs. Through seven games, he has 29 tackles, two forced fumbles and two picks, but keep in mind that last year the veteran ball hawk had nine interceptions and the year before that, he had seven.
Wed. Nov 4, 2009 | RotoWire
News: McClain (shoulder) was limited at Wednesday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: As long as Ray Rice and Willis McGahee are healthy, McClain's impact will be limited. Of course, if one of both of the aforementioned duo gets hurt at any point, McClain proved last season that he can carry the load when called upon.
Wed. Nov 4, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap (ankle) was limited at Wednesday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Heap started off the season with TDs in the Ravens' first two games. Since then, he has not found the end zone, en route to averaging 39.7 receiving yards per game, which is 15th in the league among TE's (who have played in a majority of their team's games).
Wed. Nov 4, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Reed wore a brace at Wednesday's practice that went from his from his forearm to his wrist, Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Reed was spotted catching punts at practice though, so on the surface, this looks like something he can play through.
Tue. Nov 3, 2009 | STATS
News: Cundiff was waived by the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday. He filled in while Phil Dawson missed five games with a pulled right calf muscle. Cundiff made all six field-goal tries for the Browns (1-7).
Impact: Dawson returned for last week's game against Chicago and had his extra point blocked in a 30-6 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Tue. Nov 3, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Cundiff was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Impact: Not much surprise here as he was inactive on Sunday with Phil Dawson now healthy again.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Reed recorded four tackles and forced a Knowshon Moreno fumble during Sunday's win over Denver.
Impact: Surprise surprise, Reed once again forced a turnover at a key moment for the Ravens, this one leading to the team's second field goal towards the end of the first half. Employ him as usual.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ngata left Sunday's win over the Broncos in the third quarter with a sprained right ankle. Head coach John Harbaugh would not comment on Ngata's status when asked Monday, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: X-rays came back negative, but Ngata reportedly felt uncomfortable on his ankle after being taped. The injury report Wednesday will have more information.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Webb returned the opening kickoff of the second half for 95 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's win over Denver.
Impact: Webb has returned 13 kicks for 394 yards this season, a 30.3-yard per return average that currently ranks fifth in the league, and third among those with more than 10 returns.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Hauschka went 3-for-3 in field goals during Sunday's win over Denver, adding three extra points.
Impact: The performance didn't make the Ravens forget about Matt Stover, especially on the same day the Baltimore legend went 4-for-4 for Indianapolis, but at least it proved that Hauschka hadn't completely lost his nerve after missing a 44-yarder in the waning moments of Week 6's two-point loss to Minnesota. Hauschka exorcised his demons with a 43-yarder while the game was locked at 0-0 at the end of the first quarter, and went on to add makes from 35 and 31 yards.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Heap had three receptions for 16 yards during Sunday's win over Denver.
Impact: Sunday was on the lower end of Heap's usual reception numbers, and in terms of yards it was his second worst outing of the season. He still received his looks against a stingy Broncos defense, and should be safe to use as usual despite a down performance.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Clayton recorded three catches for 33 yards during Sunday's win over Denver.
Impact: Clayton is technically ahead of Kelley Washington (four catches, 58 yards) on the depth chart, but in terms of their involvement in the offense they're essentially Nos. 2a and 2b behind Derrick Mason. Neither is really worthy of a roster spot on most fantasy teams.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Mason caught four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's win over Denver.
Impact: Mason's yards were on the lower end against a Broncos' defense that is one of the league's best against the pass, but he still managed to find the end zone as he has in four of his last five outings. As long as Mason remains quarterback Joe Flacco's favorite target, he's still a worthy starting option in deeper fantasy leagues.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Washington had four receptions for 58 yards during Sunday's victory over Denver.
Impact: Washington was actually the Ravens' leading receiver on Sunday. Still, his numbers are mediocre as the team's No. 3 option and he hasn't recorded a touchdown since Week 3 this season.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | STATS
News: Mason had four catches for 40 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens' 30-7 win over Denver on Sunday.
Impact: The veteran is quietly having another respectable season. His 421 receiving yards rank in the league's top 30 and he has scored a touchdown in four of his last five games.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | STATS
News: Rice ran for 84 yards, the most by one player against Denver this season, and added a touchdown as the Ravens won 30-7 on Sunday.
Impact: Rice's 3.7 yard-per-carry average wasn't impressive, but his overall results were against the league's third-ranked rushing defense. He'll have another tough matchup on Sunday - Cincinnati ranks fifth against the run.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | STATS
News: Flacco went 20 for 25 for 175 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens' 30-7 win over Denver on Sunday.
Impact: The numbers weren't prolific, but it was an impressive effort against what is now the league's top-ranked defense. Flacco has thrown a TD pass in seven straight games, a streak that should continue Sunday at Cincinnati. The Bengals are 31st in the NFL against the pass.
Nov 1, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Flacco (ankle) completed 20-of-25 pass attempts for 175 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's 30-7 win over Denver.
Impact: Even though Flacco completed 80 percent of his pass attempts, he was having a below average fantasy game until he hooked up with Derrick Mason on a 20-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Broncos have played well defensively this year so don't be concerned by Flacco's underwhelming statistics on Sunday.
Nov 1, 2009 | RotoWire
News: McGahee touched the ball just three times in Sunday's 30-7 win over Denver.
Impact: McGahee has been used far less than he was earlier in the year and he's also not getting the goal line carries. Ray Rice had another productive game on Sunday, rushing for 84 yards with a touchdown and catching five passes, so things aren't looking good for McGahee's value right now.
Nov 1, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Rice ran for 84 yards on 23 carries and scored a touchdown in Sunday's 30-7 win over Denver. Rice added five receptions for 24 yards.
Impact: Rice was held in check most of the day, but was able to score from seven yards out with a couple of minutes left in the game to ice the win. Meanwhile, Willis McGahee touched the ball just three times (two rushes, one reception) so it's becoming pretty clear that Rice is the focal point of Baltimore's running game.
Sun. Nov 1, 2009 | STATS
News: Walker was inactive for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos but no clear injury was given. Instead, it could be because he was called for a pass interference penalty in the fourth quarter of Baltimore's 17-14 loss to Cincinnati on Oct. 11 and gave up a 58-yard completion in the closing minutes of a 33-31 defeat at Minnesota a week later.
Impact: Rookie Ladarius Webb spent the week practicing at Walker's nickel back position.
Nov 1, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Hauschka (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Impact: Baltimore brought in a couple kickers this week, but Hauschka will handle the duties Sunday.
Nov 1, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Reed (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Impact: Reed is always a threat to make a big interception, so feel free to use him as you normally would.
Nov 1, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Johnson (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Impact: Johnson is a safe play this week, and he is usually a pretty safe bet to fill up the stat sheet.
Nov 1, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Flacco (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Impact: The Broncos defense has been extremely stout this season, so Flacco is probably not a great option this week, but he is available if you need him.
Nov 1, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Cundiff is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Impact: Phil Dawson will kick for the Browns this week, so deploy him if you happen to be invested in the Browns' kicking game.
Sat. Oct 31, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Hauschka (ankle) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: The Ravens tried out kickers Mike Nugent and Connor Barth, but didn't sign either one. That was likely just a precaution, but we'll let you know if that changes.
Fri. Oct 30, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Reed (illness) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: Reed has 25 tackles and two picks (one for a TD) in six games thus far, but given his track record as a ball hawk, more interceptions should be on tap in the coming weeks.
Fri. Oct 30, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Gooden (chin) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: Gooden, who said his chin got banged up at a recent practice, practiced fully Friday, so it looks like he's a go this weekend.
Fri. Oct 30, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Flacco (ankle) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: The Broncos have given up just three passing TDs and a league-low 11 points a game, but Flacco's ankle shouldn't be an issue and the Baltimore coaching staff has had plenty of time to game-plan for Denver, coming off a bye.
Fri. Oct 30, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Cundiff's teammate, Phil Dawson, is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Impact: Cundiff has made all six of his field-goal attempts in place of Dawson, but unless we get word that one or the other will be inactive (or in Cundiff's case, even cut) it's probably best to stay away from the Browns' kicker situation this week.
Thu. Oct 29, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Gooden (shoulder) practiced Thursday with a red, non-contact jersey, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Look for Gooden to wind up with the "questionable" label once Friday's official injury report comes out.
Thu. Oct 29, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Reed returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday due to an illness, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Reed may end up listed as probable Friday, but we expect him to be out there Sunday against the Broncos.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Flacco (ankle) was present for the media portion of Wednesday's practice, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Flacco missed some work during the Ravens' bye week, but all along he has been saying that he would be back this week and able to play Sunday against the Broncos. We'll let you know if that assessment changes.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Gaither (neck) is expected to return to his normal left tackle position Sunday against the Broncos, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact: Gaither's return, a boost the the Ravens' line in general, will also allow rookie Michael Oher (who has been filling in at left tackle) to go back to playing right tackle.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Flacco (ankle) practiced fully Wednesday, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: There seems to be little doubt that Flacco will be out there Sunday against a Broncos' defense that has allowed an average of 11.0 points per game to date.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Gooden (shoulder) missed practice Wednesday, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: It's a concern that he wasn't out there following the Ravens' bye, so we'll track Gooden's status in the coming days.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Reed missed Wednesday's practice due to illness, the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact: We'd be surprised if this affected his Week 8 status, but we'll track Reed's status in the coming days.
Oct 25, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Cundiff will handle the kicking duties for the Browns against the Packers on Sunday as Phil Dawson (calf) has been ruled out, according to NFL.com.
Impact: If you're scrambling for a warm body to fill your kicker spot with the likes of the Jags, Titans, Broncos, Lions, Seahawks and Ravens all on the bye in Week 7, Cundiff is a lower-tier option.
