News: The Colts are attempting to trade for Jenkins (shoulder), ESPN reports.
Impact: The Colts didn't add much talent in the offseason to a poor secondary, so it makes sense they'd be interested in Jenkins. However, so far Dallas doesn't seem to be willing to trade him despite his requests to be moved.

News: Connor hasn't taken part in OTAs due to shoulder surgery he underwent in March, the Cowboys website reports.
Impact: He may not suit up for his new team until training camp begins. Given Connor's injury history the last couple of years, it's understandable that the Cowboys would treat him with kid gloves, but at some point he'll need to play to keep Bruce Carter from claiming a starting ILB job outright.

News: Nagy is getting a look at center in the Cowboys' OTAs, the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Impact: He's competing with Phil Costa and Kevin Kowalski for the starting job in the middle of the offensive line, although Mackenzy Bernadeau could factor into the picture as well once he returns from hip surgery. Most likely though, Nagy will begin the season backing up at center and both guard spots.

News: Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has high hopes for Carter this season, the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Impact: "He's really come into the off-season program and embraced it," Garrett said. "He's gotten better physically. I think he's healthier than he was last year at this time certainly, and you can just see he's getting more and more comfortable. He needs to play more football. He needs to play at a higher level both in terms of his understanding of scheme but also just how you play relentless. That's how you need to play football. He's starting to understand that. You see flashes of that. He just needs to do it more and more, and he's getting better." Dallas signed Dan Connor this offseason to give them a veteran presence at ILB, but their preference would probably be for Carter to step up and seize the starting job next to Sean Lee. If he has a breakout similar to Lee's last season, he's got the physical tools to have plenty of value in IDP leagues, but he's not someone to target until we see how he performs in training camp.

News: Murray (ankle) has looked good so far in OTAs, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: "He doesn't look any slower or more sluggish than he would normally," said Cowboys running backs coach Skip Peete. "He's come back and he's in good shape and he's doing a good job. I don't see any ill effects of his ankle injury from this past season." Murray will open the season as the Cowboys' starting RB, and if he stays on the field for a full season he's got a chance to put up some very nice numbers.

News: Jenkins will not be traded, according to Head coach Jason Garrett, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Impact: It is hard to have much faith in the comment when you consider how many times we have seen sports franchises claim they are not trading a player, only to trade him days later. The Cowboys may hold on to Jenkins though since he probably wouldn't fetch much on the market after an injury-plagued season. He has plenty of experience as a starter and could fill in capably if Morris Claiborne or Brandon Carr suffer an injury.

News: Jones (shoulder) may not be available until training camp begins, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.
Impact: Jones separated his shoulder early in the 2011 season, before dealing with ankle and hamstring issues. He had surgery on the shoulder during the offseason and it should not affect his chances of playing Week 1. Injuries will always be a concern with Jones, so you will probably want to check on his health again before you draft. DeMarco Murray is coming off of a fractured ankle, but barring another injury he is a strong bet to start over Jones.

News: Phillips will have a larger role in the Cowboys' offense this year after Martellus Bennett's departure, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: It would take a Jason Witten injury for Phillips to have real value in most fantasy formats, but numbers comparable to Bennett's in 2010 (around 30 catches and 250-300 yards) wouldn't be unreasonable.

News: Coale broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot in Tuesday's organized team activities, the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Impact: Coale is expected to be out a month and should be ready for training camp. The injury is not considered serious despite the fracture.

News: Coale suffered a left foot injury during Tuesday's organized team activities, ESPN.com reports.
Impact: The extent of his injury is not yet known, but Coale has an MRI on tap to determine that. Assuming his injury is not a major one, Coale is in the mix to fill the Cowboys' vacant No. 3 wideout spot behind Miles Austin and Dez Bryant.

News: Jenkins (shoulder) wants to be traded by the Cowboys, Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: As a result, Jenkins, whose importance to the Cowboys' secondary is on the decline in the wake of the team's drafting of Morris Claiborne, won't attend the team's OTAs this week.

News: Claiborne (wrist) won't participate in the Cowboys' June mini-camp, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: His recovery from March surgery is on its original timetable, so there's no cause for concern here. Claiborne is still expected to begin the season as a starting cornerback for the 'Boys.

News: Bernaduea (hip) underwent surgery to repair a tear in his right hip, Todd Archer of ESPNDallas reports.
Impact: Bernadeau is expected to miss 10-12 weeks while recovering from surgery. The Cowboys signed Bernadeau to a four-year, $11 million deal as a free agent this offseason in an attempt to fix the interior of their offensive line.

News: Murray (ankle) has been officially cleared by team doctors and says his ankle "feels great," the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Murray, who fractured his ankle in Week 14 of the 2011 campaign, finished the season as the Cowboys' leading rusher with 897 yards and two touchdowns. Barring any injuries, Murray will be starting in the Dallas backfield for Week 1.
