News: Lions coach Jim Schwartz would not say when Young (disciplinary) is expected to return to the team, according to MLive.com.
Impact: Young has missed OTAs since punching Louis Delmas earlier this week. Schwartz is notoriously tight-lipped in circumstances such as this, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Young return without an advanced announcement.

News: Best (concussion) remains on track to be fully cleared for contact next month, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact: Best was a full participant in the team's OTAs on Monday and continues to move toward complete health. At this point, there appears to be very little reason to worry about Best missing any time to start the year.

News: Leshoure (Achilles') participated in the Lions' OTAs on Monday, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact: Leshoure did individual work and then sat out once the team went to 7-on-7 drills. He said he still hasn't hit full speed yet, but maintains he'll be ready come Week 1. There still is, however, a chance he'll be disciplined by the league for a pair of marijuana possession arrests this offseason.

News: Young was not at Monday's workout because he reportedly instigated an altercation with teammate Louis Delmas last week, wxyz.com reports.
Impact: Coach Jim Schwartz didn't elaborate on Young's absence, though we suspect that the incident will blow over in time. Assuming no long-term repercussions, Young will battle with Nate Burleson (and eventually Ryan Broyles) for the wideout looks that don't go to the Lions' go-to receiver, Calvin Johnson.

News: Broyles participated in many of the wide receiver drills at Monday's OTAs and wasn't wearing a knee brace, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact: This has to qualify as a pleasant surprise for the Lions considering Broyles tore his ACL on Nov. 5, but the team must have known Broyles' rehab was going well when they invested a second round pick in April's draft. Among the drills Broyles took part in was a four-cone change of direction drill, which would seem to indicate that his knee is virtually good to go.

News: Leshoure (Achilles) expects to be 100 percent for Week 1 of the regular season, the Lions' official site reports.
Impact: Leshoure will reportedly do all he can during OTAs, but his real goal is to be ready for training camp and the regular season. His recovery seems to be on track, but it's possible Leshoure will face disciplinary action from the league after two offseason marijuana arrests.

Impact: Tulloch said it was nothing serious and he plans to take part in OTAs next week.

News: Detroit put Harrison on the reserve/non-football illness list.
Impact: Harrison had surgery in October for a brain tumor, which was discovered after the Lions attempted to trade him to the Philadelphia Eagles.

News: The Lions placed Harrison on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list Tuesday, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Impact: After discovering and removing a brain tumor following a physical last season, Detroit had to declare Harrison would not participate in the 2012 regular season or postseason in order for him to not count on the 90-man roster. Placing him on the Reserve/Non-Football injury list clears up a spot on the Lions' roster.

News: Fairley has been placed in the NFL's substance abuse program, according to Josh Alper of NBCSports.com.
Impact: Fairley was arrested after police found marijuana in his car during a traffic stop in early April. He is scheduled to appear in court in late July and could face a league-mandated suspension, though he may avoid missing any time as this is his first known offense.

News: Leshoure has pleaded guilty to marijuana possession, two months after police discovered him with pot in his mouth during a traffic stop in southwestern Michigan.
Impact: It's the second time Leshoure has been caught with marijuana in Berrien County. Leshoure missed the 2011 season because of a torn Achilles.
