News: Miller (pectoral) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Steelers after practicing fully Friday, the Dolphins' official site reports.
Impact: Teammate Daniel Thomas is listed as questionable after turning in a limited practice Friday, but we still expect Miller to head the Dolphins' Week 14 backfield Sunday in potentially less-than-balmy Pittsburgh weather conditions.
News: Patterson (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Impact: The report suggests that even if Patterson suits up on Sunday, Nolan Carroll figures to remain the Dolphins' starter at cornerback this weekend opposite Brent Grimes.
News: Thomas, who practiced Friday (in a limited fashion) for the first time since injuring his left ankle No.24, is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Impact: It remains to be seen if Thomas -- once thought to potentially be done for the season -- will suit up Sunday, but his questionable designation suggests that he has a chance to reemerge as a complement to Lamar Miller down the Dolphins' stretch run.

News: Patterson (groin) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, the Dolphins' official site reports.
Impact: Patterson has been bothered by a groin injury for much of the season, forcing him to miss several games. If the cornerback can practice again on Friday, he will have a chance to play Sunday against the Steelers, but if not, Nolan Carroll would be in line to continue to fill in for Patterson.
Thu. Dec 5, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Miller (pectoral) remained limited at practice Thursday, the Dolphins' official site reports.
Impact: We'll have to see how the Dolphin officially list Miller on Friday, but there's been nothing so far to suggest that his Week 14 status is in any danger.
Wed. Dec 4, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Thomas continued to rehab his left ankle injury as the Dolphins practiced Wednesday, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Impact: The report suggests that Thomas is rehabbing, with the goal of possibly playing in the Dolphins' final three games in mind. It's implied that Thomas won't play Sunday against the Steelers, but initial fears that the running back may be done for the season have not been realized thus far. In the meantime, Marcus Thigpen and Mike Gillislee will continue to work behind the Dolphins' top back, Lamar Miller.
Wed. Dec 4, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Miller (pectoral) was limited at practice Wednesday, the Dolphins' official site reports.
Impact: We'll track Miller's status as the week continues, but so far there is nothing to suggest that he won't be out there Sunday, heading the Dolphins' Week 14 rushing attack against the Steelers.
Mon. Dec 2, 2013 | STATS
News: Hartline had nine catches for 127 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Jets.
Impact: With 33 targets in the last three weeks and some improved numbers out of quarterback Ryan Tannehill, there might be hope for some consistency here in the final weeks of the fantasy season.
Mon. Dec 2, 2013 | STATS
News: Tannehill threw for 331 yards and two touchdowns, leading Miami to a 23-3 victory over the listless New York Jets on Sunday.
Impact: He's cracked 300 passing yards in consecutive games and hasn't had a multi-interception game since Oct. 27. He's still not a stellar fantasy option now that bye weeks have passed.
Olivier Vernon - #50 - Defensive End - 6'2" - 268lbs
News: Vernon recorded 10 tackles (seven solo) and 2.5 sacks in Sunday's win against the Jets.
Impact: Vernon was a menace to Jets' quarterbacks all game long, as he terrorized both Geno Smith and backup quarterback Matt Simms. He is on an absolute tear right now, having recorded 5.5 sacks and 20 tackles over his last three games. He ranks sixth in the NFL with 10 sacks on the season, as he heads to Pittsburgh in Week 14 to take on the Steelers.
News: Matthews (back) caught two passes on three targets for 21 yards Sunday versus the Jets.
Impact: Matthews entered Sunday's contest with a back injury that limited during the practice week, but he was ultimately able to suit up and make some contribution. At the moment, Matthews is looking like a one-hit wonder, since nearly half of his receiving yards and both his touchdowns this season came in Miami's Week 10 loss to Tampa Bay.
News: Clay had seven catches on 10 targets for 80 yards Sunday against the Jets.
Impact: The Dolphins' offense abused the Jets through the air Sunday and Clay was certainly a part of it, although Ryan Tannehill's two touchdowns went to Brian Hartline and Mike Wallace. Clay has been a bit up-and-down lately, with 21, 90, 27, and 80 yards in his last four games respectively. He may be needed for additional blocking next week against the Steelers, which would hurt his ability for bigger receiving numbers.
News: Hartline had nine catches on 15 targets for 127 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Jets.
Impact: A great game for Hartline, who abused the Jets' porous secondary Sunday. His touchdown was a 31-yard play in the third quarter that saw him beat Antonio Cromartie and then break two weak tackle attempts by Demario Davis and Ed Reed, before running into the end zone. It was his first score wince Week 3, while breaking the 100-yard mark for the first time since Week 1. It likely won't be as easy next week, as the Dolphins travel to Pittsburgh in Week 14.
News: Wallace had seven catches on nine targets for 82 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Jets.
Impact: Wallace's touchdown catch came late in the third quarter, as he essentially ran through Jets cornerback Dee Milliner to get into the open field for his score. Wallace has now scored a touchdown in back-to-back weeks, averaging six catches on 9.5 targets for 104.5 yards over that span. It likely won't be as easy next week, as the Dolphins travel to Pittsburgh in Week 14.
News: Thigpen (wrist) had four carries for 10 rushing yards and one catch on one target for zero receiving yards Sunday against the Jets.
Impact: With Daniel Thomas (ankle) out indefinietly, Thigpen was given the chance to compete for backup touches with Mike Gillislee, behind Lamar Miller. Gillislee finished with 21 yards on six carries, so he did outplay Thigpen, although both were essentially afterthoughts behind Miller, who carried the ball 22 times for 72 yards. Miller will likely continue to get a bulk of the backfield touches, leaving Thigpen and Gillislee to do whatever they can with very limited opportunities.
Mike Gillislee - #23 - Running back - 5'11" - 213lbs
News: Gillislee had six carries for 21 rushing yards Sunday against the Jets.
Impact: With Daniel Thomas (ankle) out indefinitely, Gillislee and Marcus Thigpen were left to compete for carries behind Lamar Miller. Thigpen finished with four carries for 10 yards, so Gillislee did outplay him Sunday, but Miller got a vast majority of the work, rushing 22 times for 72 yards. Miller will likely continue to get a bulk of the backfield touches for the Dolphins, which means Gillislee and Thigpen will simply be splitting backup touches.
News: Miller had 22 carries for 72 rushing yards and one catch on one target for 13 receiving yards Sunday against the Jets.
Impact: With Daniel Thomas (ankle) possibly out for the year, Miller is finally getting a chance to show what we can do as a workhorse back. It wasn't a great first matchup, as the Jets came into Sunday with the league's best run defense, although Miller held his own throughout the afternoon. His 22 carries were a season-high and he'll likely continue to see a high number of touches in Week 14 at Pittsburgh.
News: Tannehill completed 28-of-43 passes for 331 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception Sunday against the Jets.
Impact: The Dolphins attacked the Jets' porous secondary Sunday, as Tannehill completed passes to seven different receivers, throwing touchdowns to Brian Hartline and Mike Wallace. Tannehill has now eclipsed the 300-yard mark in back-to-back games, although he'll be hard-pressed to extend that to three against Pittsburgh in Week 14.
News: Thigpen (wrist) is active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Impact: Thigpen will likely get any leftover touches out of the backfield, behind Lamar Miller, with Daniel Thomas (ankle) out indefinitely. That said, the Jets boast the best run defense in the NFL this season, so Thigpen's upside remains very limited.
News: Matthews (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Impact: Matthews was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, but got a full one in Friday. He isn't a high volume receiver, although he does have 13 targets in the last two weeks and faces off against a Jets secondary Sunday that has been burned throughout the season.
News: Clemons (knee/hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Impact: Clemons did not practice Wednesday and was limited Friday, but he apparently is healthy enough Sunday to give it a go. He's likely valuable in deeper IDP leagues, racking up 57 tackles on one interception through 11 games.
Jonathan Martin - #71 - Tackle - 6'5" - 312lbs
Sat. Nov 30, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Martin (personal) was placed on the non-football injury list Saturday, ESPN Boston's Field Yates reports.
Impact: This officially puts an end to Martin's season, after he was involved in a controversy with teammate Richie Incognito. The Dolphins have struggled in pass protection all year, both with and without Martin in the lineup.
News: Matthews (back) is probable for Sunday's game against the Jets after practicing fully Friday, the Dolphins' official site reports.
Impact: Matthews will be out there Sunday against the Jets, but his Week 10 line (11/120/2) remains an outlier, though working out of the slot for the Dolphins, he does still see his share of targets, including 13 over his last two games combined.
Richie Incognito - #68 - Guard - 6'3" - 319lbs
News: Incognito (suspension) has agreed to extend his suspension while Ted Wells completes his investigation, according to the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.
Impact: The extended suspension is with pay. The Dolphins running game, however, hasn't been able to see much daylight since Incognito and Jonathan Martin left the team.
News: Clemons (knee/hamstring) was limited at practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, the Dolphins' official site reports.
Impact: With four players ruled out and seven listed as probable, Clemons' questionable designation appears legit, given that he is the only Dolphin with the tag. With 57 tackles and a pick in 11 games, the safety retains utility in deeper IDP formats.
News: Patterson (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jets, the Dolphins' official site reports.
Impact: As a result, look for Nolan Carroll to replace Patterson in Sunday's lineup.
Thu. Nov 28, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Matthews (back) remained limited at practice Thursday, according to the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.
Impact: More on Matthews' Week 13 status Friday, but should he end up listed as questionable, those inclined to consider him this week will be able to confirm his availability before the first wave of kickoffs Sunday, with the Dolphins taking on the Jets at 1:00 ET.
News: Clemons (hamstring/knee) did not practice on Wednesday, the Miami Herald reports.
Impact: Clemons has racked up 57 combined tackles to go along with one interception this season, so he is a serviceable IDP option when healthy. He'll likely need to get some practice time in this week before being cleared to play.
News: With Daniel Thomas out indefinitely, Thigpen figures to be in line for added work behind Lamar Miller in the coming weeks, the Palm Beach Post reports.
Impact: Mike Gillislee, who has been inactive of late, also figures to re-enter the Dolphins' backup mix, but the report suggests that Thigpen will likely be elevated to the team's No. 2 RB slot Sunday against the Jets. Neither Thigpen or Gillislee are high-percentage plays in Week 13, but their snap counts Sunday will be noteworthy to those wishing to scoop up a potential stretch run dart at the running back position.
News: Patterson (groin) did not practice on Wednesday, the Miami Herald reports.
Impact: Patterson missed last week's contest against the Panthers, and if he is not good to go for Sunday, look for Nolan Carroll to get his second consecutive start.
News: Matthews (back) was limited in Wednesday's practice, the Palm Beach Post reports.
Impact: Matthews is coming off a Week 12 effort that saw him record just three catches for two yards on six targets, but as long as he works out of the slot for the Dolphins, he figures to see his share of targets Sunday against the Jets, assuming he suits up.
Isaako Aaitui - #97 - Defensive Tackle - 6'4" - 315lbs
Tue. Nov 26, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Aaitui was waived by the Dolphins on Tuesday.
Impact: Playing behind Paul Soliai on the defensive line, Aaitui recorded three tackles (one solo) in four games with Miami. He was swapped out Tuesday for A.J. Francis, whom the Dolphins signed from the Patriots' practice squad.
Mon. Nov 25, 2013 | STATS
News: Wallace caught five passes for a season-high 127 yards Sunday, with 53 coming on a TD pass.
Impact: He still only has two TDs this season.
Mon. Nov 25, 2013 | STATS
News: Tannehill threw for 310 yards with a TD and an INT in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.
Impact: Though Tannehill rushed for a team-high 36 yards, he's been limited to a one TD in each of the last two contests.
Mike Gillislee - #23 - Running back - 5'11" - 213lbs
News: With Daniel Thomas out indefinitely with a serious ankle sprain, Gillislee figures to see backup reps behind Lamar Miller Sunday against the Jets, ESPN.com reports.
Impact: Although we would expect Miller to maintain his position atop the Dolphins' running back depth chart, his recent production has been spotty, so there could be an opportunity for Gillislee to add a spark to the team's running attack, a situation that makes him worth a look for those with a roster spot available and needing to make a speculative add at the running back position.
News: With Daniel Thomas (ankle) likely done for the season, Miller figures to see an expanded workload in the coming weeks, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Impact: Thomas' injury could also lead to expanded roles for Marcus Thigpen and Mike Gillislee, but we'd expect Miller to get the first chance to pick up the slack in the Miami backfield. In his last three games, Miller has combined for 21 carries for just 26 yards, so he has nowhere to go but up. Of course, his Week 13 matchup is far from ideal, as the Jets are allowing a league-low 72.6 rushing yards per game on the ground to date.
News: Thomas, who tore a ligament in his left ankle in Sunday's loss to the Panthers, is likely done for the season, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Impact: Thomas' absence figures to directly lead to added work for Lamar Miller, with Marcus Thigpen and Mike Gillislee also candidates to see added touches in the Miami backfield in the wake of the injury.
News: Thomas was carted to the Dolphins' locker room during Sunday's game with a lower leg injury, NFL.com reports.
Impact: Thomas previously was receiving treatment on his ankle/foot on the sideline, but considering his need for a cart to get to the locker room, the injury will probably keep him out of the remainder of Sunday's contest.
News: Thomas is receiving treatment on his left foot/ankle, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Impact: Thomas rushed three times for eight yards and had a pair of catches for two total receiving yards, prior to the report of him receiving treatment. It's unclear whether he'll be forced out of Sunday's game.
News: Clay had four receptions for 27 yards during Miami's 20-16 loss to Carolina on Sunday.
Impact: Clay was targeted seven times, but with Ryan Tannehill constantly looking for Mike Wallace deep the underneath patterns just weren't a priority on this day.
News: Hartline had five catches on five targets for 78 yards Sunday against the Panthers.
Impact: Another decent performance for Hartline, more so in PPR leagues than non-PPR ones. The Dolphins' No. 2 wideout hasn't reached 80 receiving yards in a game since Week 1 and hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 3. However, he's got a promising matchup in Week 13, against a Jets defense that is better against the run than the pass this year and could be without top corner Antonio Cromartie (hip).
News: Wallace (hamstring) had five catches on 10 targets for 127 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Panthers.
Impact: Wallace's 127 yards were a season-high and the touchdown was his first since Week 2. While he has the talent to be a more consistent fantasy producer, as evidenced by his days in Pittsburgh that got him his big money contract in Miami, Wallace just doesn't have a great on-field relationship with quarterback Ryan Tannehill, which is why he's unable to produce well on a week-to-week basis. However, he does have a promising matchup in Week 13, against a Jets secondary that has given up some big games this season and could be without top cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who left Sunday's game early with a hip injury.
News: Miller had 10 carries for eight rushing yards and four catches on four targets for 39 receiving yards Sunday against the Panthers.
Impact: The Dolphins didn't run the ball much in the second half, which limited Miller's ability to break out of his funk. However, backfield-mate Daniel Thomas had to be carted off the field, due to a leg injury during Sunday's game, and left the stadium on crutches, while wearing a walking boot, so Miller could have very little competition for carries in Week 13. Unfortunately, the Dolphins face the Jets next Sunday, owners of the league's best defense against the run this year.
News: Tannehill completed 28-of-42 passes for 310 yards, with one touchdown and one interception Sunday against the Panthers. He also added 36 rushing yards on four carries.
Impact: Tannehill really spread the ball around Sunday, connecting with 10 different receivers on the day, led by Mike Wallace, who caught five passes on 10 targets for 127 yards and a touchdown. His 310-yards marked the third time this season he eclipsed the 300-yard plateau and first since Week 5. Up next is a Week 13 trip to New York to face a Jets defense that has been much better against the run than the pass this season.
News: Thomas was spotted on crutches, with his left leg in a walking boot, after Sunday's loss to the Panthers, Omar Kelly of the South-Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Impact: Though Thomas told Kelly he didn't break his ankle, it looks like the running back may miss some time. Prior to his exit from Sunday's game, Thomas carried the ball three times for eight yards and caught two passes for two yards.
Sun. Nov 24, 2013 | STATS
News: Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey is inactive for Sunday's game against Carolina.
Impact: Pouncey will miss his second consecutive game Sunday while he recovers from a gall bladder ailment.
News: Patterson (groin) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Impact: As a result, Nolan Carroll is in line to replace Patterson in Sunday's lineup.
News: Wallace (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Impact: Wallace, who is averaging 53.4 receiving yards per game with just one TD, is out there if you need him Sunday. T\he Panthers' defense presents the Miami wideout with a tough Week 12 matchup.
Sat. Nov 23, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Pouncey (illness) is out for Sunday's game against Carolina, the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero reports.
Impact: Miami's shaky offensive line will be even weaker than usual Sunday. Nate Garner is expected to slide over to center, with Sam Brenner filling in at left guard.
Fri. Nov 22, 2013 | STATS
News: Pouncey is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers because he's recovering from a gall bladder ailment.
Impact: Pouncey worked on the side Friday but hasn't practiced since missing last week's victory over San Diego. Nate Garner would again start in his place.
News: Clay led the Dolphins with six receptions for 90 yards on Sunday. He also hauled in a 39-yard touchdown with 7:43 remaining in the third quarter, giving Miami a lead they'd never relinquish.
Impact: Clay's 39-yard TD catch was his first play of 25 or more yards since October 6.
News: Thomas had 10 carries for 57 yards in Miami's victory over the Chargers. He also scored a touchdown, his first trip to the endzone since Week 3 of the season.
Impact: Thomas had 11 touches on Sunday (10 rushing attempts and one reception), compared to only six (four rushes and two receptions) for Miami's starting running back, Lamar Miller.
News: Rayn Tannehill completed 22 of 35 passes for 268 yards in Miami's 20-16 victory over the Chargers on Sunday. Tannehill tossed one touchdown and one interception in the win, and also ran for 21 yards on four carries.
Impact: The win moved the Dolphins to 5-5 and back into the thick of the AFC wild card race.
Sun. Nov 17, 2013 | STATS
News: Pouncey is inactive for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers because of illness, further depleting an offensive line thinned by the team's harassment scandal.
Impact: Tackle Jonathan Martin left the team three weeks ago complaining of daily harassment by teammates, and guard Richie Incognito was suspended. Nate Garner will switch from left guard to replace Pouncey. Undrafted rookie Sam Brenner, activated from the practice squad Saturday, will make his NFL debut at left guard.
