News: Jenkins says the torn meniscus in his knee has fully healed and he will join Minnesota's Organized Team Activities that begin May 30, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Impact: Jenkins missed the final five games of last season due to the injury and had surgery over the winter. He'll battle Devin Aromashodu, Greg Childs and Jarius Wright for the third receiver role. He could also start opposite Percy Harvin the first three weeks of the season while Jerome Simpson sits out due to a suspension. News: The Minnesota Vikings have released Longwell.
Impact: The surprising move was made Monday, a little more than a week after the team drafted Georgia kicker Blair Walsh in the sixth round. Shortly after Longwell said goodbye to Vikings fans on Twitter, the team announced the decision in a brief news release with a prepared statement from coach Leslie Frazier thanking Longwell for his work and wishing him well. |
