News: The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms on a contract with free agent safety Kurt Coleman. Coleman's agent, Blake Baratz, said Monday the deal was done. The Vikings have not yet made an announcement.
Impact: Coleman visited the Vikings last Friday. The seventh-round draft pick in 2010 out of Ohio State played the last four seasons for Philadelphia, starting 29 games, though none of those came last year. Coleman's best season was 2011, when he had four interceptions, five passes defended and one forced fumble. Harrison Smith is entrenched as a starter at one safety spot, with Jamarca Sanford and Andrew Sendejo the leading returning candidates for the lineup at the other position.

News: With DeSean Jackson having been released, Maclin may need to serve as Philadelphia's No. 1 receiver in 2013.
Impact: Riley Cooper might have a head start in the Chip Kelly offense since Maclin tore his ACL in July, but Maclin is the more talented player and should take the lead over Cooper in a hurry so long as his knee holds up. The exits of Jackson and Jason Avant from Philadelphia create a void of 202 targets from last year's offense, and while second-year tight end Zach Ertz and recent trade acquisition Darren Sproles will gobble up some of those targets, Maclin isn't a bad bet to approach the 126 targets Jackson saw in 2013. Maclin should safely provide top-40 WR value in 2014 with a little injury luck.
