News: Brandon Segal has been recalled by the Kings from AHL Manchester, according to TSN. [+]
Impact: The26-year-old winger is merely organizational depth, and does not merit fantasy attention for his stint with Los Angeles. ( Fanball - Mon. Nov 23, 2009) |
News: LAKingsInsider.com is reporting that the Kings have recalled center Andrei Loktionov from Manchester of the AHL. Loktionov was leading the Monarchs with 17 points in 20 games at the time of his call-up. [+]
Impact: Loktionov is an exciting player, and he will make his NHL debut when he takes the ice for the Kings. Fantasy production is in his future, but he will likely need some experience before making an impact. It might be worth it to keep an eye on him for owners in deeper leagues, however. News: The Los Angeles Kings have placed forward Ryan Smyth on injured reserve, according to LAKingsInsider.com. Smyth is expected to miss close to a month with an upper-body injury. [+]
Impact: No surprise here, as the team needed a roster spot to make some call-ups. Smyth had 23 points in the first 22 games this season, so he will be sorely missed while he is out. ( Fanball - Mon. Nov 23, 2009) | |

News: Ilya Bryzgalov dropped his seventh game of the season on Monday as the Coyotes fell to the Oilers 4-0. Bryzgalov stopped just 21 of the 25 shots he faced in the game. [+]
Impact: Bryzgalov's numbers are still off-the-charts this season, but he has come back to reality a bit as of late. He is still a dynamite fantasy goaltender, but don't be shocked if his numbers start to even out a bit. ( Fanball - Tue. Nov 24, 2009) |
News: Jovanovski (lower body) accompanied the Coyotes on their two game road-trip through Alberta to face Edmonton and Calgary, but did not suit up against the Oilers in the first leg of the trip on Monday night [+]
Impact: Jovo's day-to-day injury has been over two weeks now. Without him the Coyotes have been hurting offensively, and his return cannot come soon enough. The 'Yotes have not won back-to-back games the entire month of November, and it's not a coincidence that Jovo has been on the shelf for that entire stretch. ( RotoWire - Mon. Nov 23, 2009) |
News: Prucha has now gone a month without scoring a goal for the Coyotes, and is sitting on a dismal five points (2 G, 3 A) in 23 games so far this season. [+]
Impact: Prucha came over at the trade deadline last season and put up ten points (2 G, 8 A) in 18 games. There were high hopes for Prucha heading into 2009-2010, but he's been a huge disappointment and if this continues you have to wonder how much longer coach Dave Tippett can stick with Prucha.
