News: Bouchard (concussion) has returned to Minnesota after spending the past two weeks in Montreal seeking alternative treatment plans to his injury, the Minneapolis-St.Paul Star Tribune reports. [+]
Impact: Bouchard, who has appeared in just one game this season, hasn't played since October 3 and is still struggling with symptoms from a concussion that occurred last March. His neuropsychologist has run a number of tests on him, and it appears that he did not suffer any brain damage, but a return anytime in the near future is highly unlikely. "Now it's just a question of still getting rid of my symptoms -- the pressure in my head that I still have," Bouchard stated. Don't count on him for much the rest of the way. ( RotoWire - Mon. Impact: Ward is scheduled to see a back specialist on Monday, and though Manny Legace is also in the picture, it would be wise for Carolina to give Peters NHL experience since the team's playoff hopes are way out of reach. ( RotoWire - Mon. Feb 8, 2010) | |
