News: Crawford will start Saturday's Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against Detroit with the Blackhawks trailing 3-1 in the series, according to the Associated Press. [+]
Impact: This isn't much of a surprise considering Crawford did enough in Thursday's Game 4 loss to Detroit, allowing just one goal in the shutout loss. News: Crawford gave up just one goal on 26 shots in the Hawks' 2-0 Game 4 loss to Detroit on Thursday. [+]
Impact: Considering that he limited the Wings to one goal prior to the empty-netter in the final minute of the third period, Crawford likely erased any talk of a change in goal for the Hawks when the series goes back to Chicago for Game 5 on Saturday. ( RotoWire - Fri. May 24, 2013) |
News: Crawford will start Game 4 against the Red Wings in the Western Conference semifinals despite some murmurs that the team would start Ray Emery, ESPN-AM 1000 in Chicago reports. [+]
Impact: The murmurs were not that serious. Despite letting three goals on 30 shots in the 3-1 loss to Detroit in Game 3, Crawford has not played that poorly and it has been more the Blackhawks' offense that has been the problem. ( RotoWire - Thu. May 23, 2013) |
