Let 'em throw!
An NHL tough guy isn't necessarily someone who goes out and beats the snot out of an opponent every night. Sure, goons like that still exist in the league, but an NHL tough guy is more than that. He is a player who will not only stand up for himself and/or his teammates, but will also play through and dish out pain or a game-changing check whenever his team needs him to do so.

There were plenty of tricks, treats, frights and fights on the ice during Halloween week in the NHL. One monster blow, which was landed by Anaheim's James Wisniewski, almost took the head off Phoenix captain Shane Doan, causing teammate Keith Yandle to go after the Ducks' defenseman. Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby came to the rink dressed as a goon on Halloween night, mixing it up with Marek Zidlicky in a game against the Minnesota Wild.
