News: Clowe confirmed that he sustained his second concussion of the season following a hit to the head from the Panthers' Quinton Howden back on Mar. 31, Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record reports. Impact: Clowe didn't play the rest of the season following the concussion, the third or fourth he's sustained in less than a calendar year. The forward previously hadn't dealt with any head injuries prior to his final season in San Jose, but because of the numerous concussions he's endured over such a short period of time, there's viable concerns about his long-term health. The 2014-15 campaign will mark the second year of the five-year, $24.25 million contract he signed with the Devils last summer, a deal that already looks like a major mistake.(RotoWire, )

Clowe will likely wait until next season to suit up again.(RotoWire, )
