News: Toews (upper body) says he feels "really good" and is expected to play in the Hawks' playoff opener Thursday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Impact: Toews sounded pretty sure that he will be a go Thursday, and also stressed that he doesn't think the injury caused him to lose anything. With the Hawks' captain seemingly ready to go, the bigger question mark will be teammate Parick Kane (knee), who is less certain to play Thursday. News: Toews will miss the rest of the regular season with an upper-body injury. The team said Wednesday that coach Joel Quenneville expects Toews to be "100 percent" for the playoffs. Impact: Toews was injured after a hit by Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik on Sunday night. Toews got up slowly and was seen holding his left arm on the bench before heading to the locker room. The Blackhawks, who have clinched a playoff berth, are already without star forward Patrick Kane, who is out for the rest of the regular season with a lower-body injury.
