News: Brodeur made 16 saves in what might have been his last start in a 20-year career with the Devils and New Jersey beat Boston 3-2 on Sunday as the Bruins rested many of their stars in preparation for the playoffs later this week. Impact: The soon-to-be 42-year-old Brodeur is in the final year of his contract and is likely to test the free-agent market now that he has become the backup to Cory Schneider. He added 19 wins to his NHL-record total (now 688) this season and had three shutouts to extend another mark to 124.(STATS, 3:41pm)

News: Brodeur stopped 16 of 18 shots for a 3-2 victory over Boston in Sunday's regular-season finale. Impact: It's been a tumultuous season for the lifelong Devils goaltender, to say the least. Forgetting injury-plagued campaigns, the Montreal native hasn't started fewer than 40 games since his sophomore season. Whether he hangs up the skates this summer or (gasp) signs with another organization remains to be seen, but it was a no-brainer for New Jersey to start Brodeur (who finishes the year 18-14-6 with a 2.51 GAA) in what was likely his last game in a Devils uniform.(RotoWire, )

News: Brodeur made 28 saves in Friday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Islanders. Impact: Brodeur is 1-3-2 with a 2.71 GAA in his last six starts. He'll face the Bruins on Sunday in what could be his final appearance with the New Jersey Devils.(STATS, 4:35pm)

News: Brodeur will start in net for the Devils on Sunday, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Impact: Coach Pete DeBoer hoped Brodeur would start on Sunday and it looks like he got his wish. The future Hall of Fame goaltender has had an up-and-down season for the Devils with a .901 save percentage and a 2.52 GAA. The biggest question going into the offseason will be if Brodeur will be with the team, or any team, when the season starts in the fall.(RotoWire, )

News: Coach Pete DeBoer said he'd like Brodeur to start Sunday's season finale against the Bruins, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Impact: Speaking with reporters after Friday's shootout loss to the Islanders, DeBoer said he plans on sticking with Brodeur for the second straight game, assuming the goalie is up for it. It seems likely that the Devils and Brodeur could part ways after the season, making Sunday's game perhaps an emotional sendoff for the most decorated player in franchise history.(RotoWire, )

News: Brodeur allowed two goals on 30 shots and did not stop any of the three shootout attempts he faced in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders. Impact: Brodeur's numbers this season have been some of the worst for goaltenders who've played a significant amount. Friday was his first start in several games as the Devils have turned the crease over to Cory Schneider. With Brodeur's future up in the air, don't be surprised to see him start Sunday's season finale against Boston. Despite Boston likely resting a lot of its regulars, Brodeur won't be a terribly sage option in daily leagues as there are a heavy slate of games.(RotoWire, )

News: Brodeur will be in the net Friday against the Islanders,'s Mike Morreale reports. Impact: Could this be the swan song for Brodeur as a New Jersey Devil? The goalie hasn't indicated he plans to retire at season's end, but if he decides to continue his career, it likely wouldn't be in New Jersey. After Friday, the Devils will play their final game at home Sunday against the Bruins, so it's possible Brodeur could get his final nod on that day instead.(RotoWire, )
