News: Letang practiced at the left point of Pittsburgh's top power-play unit Tuesday, the Penguins' website reports. Impact: Letang will serve as the lone defender on the No. 1 unit, with the right point being manned by Evgeni Malkin. Paul Martin has played well on the top unit, so placing Letang there over Martin means the team has confidence the stroke survivor is operating at 100 percent capacity.(RotoWire, )

News: Letang, who is expected to pair with Rob Scuderi on Wednesday, will skate at the point on the team's No.2 power-play unit. Impact: Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said Letang will play opposite of rookie blueliner, Olli Maatta, on the man advantage. "We've had a shortage of defensemen on our power play the last handful of games," Bylsma explained. "So our No. 1 unit as we saw it the last couple games with Niskanen and Martin will remain the same, and Kris will be on our second unit with us going with two defensemen on that unit. We've had different No. 1 units, Kris being on it and not being on it when he was playing throughout the year. Kind of work back into that starting tonight."(RotoWire, )

For the season, Letang has 18 points (10 goals, 8 assists) -- 11 of them on the power play.
