News: Parenteau logged 18:26 of ice time and nearly scored a breakaway goal in his return from a knee injury Friday against the Sharks, NHL.com reports. Impact: Parenteau previously hadn't played since March 10, but he didn't suffer any setbacks during Friday's game and should thus be fine for the playoffs. He also figures to suit up for Sunday's regular-season finale in Anaheim.(RotoWire, )

News: After missing 15 games with a knee injury, Parenteau is expected to be ready to go for Friday's road tilt with the Sharks, Adrian Dater of the Denver Post reports. He'll sit out Thursday vs. the Canucks after an exhaustive skate at Wednesday's practice. Impact: This is great news for the Avs, who have been closing in on the Central Division title without Parenteau and their top scorer, Matt Duchene. The winger -- who has 33 points in an injury-shortened 53-game campaign this season -- will presumably suit up for the Avs' two remaining games, allowing him to get any rust off before the postseason begins. Parenteau was starting to heat up with eight points in 12 games before he went down on March 10, so those in daily formats looking for a last-minute scoring boost should give him some serious consideration.(RotoWire, )

News: Parenteau (knee) is closing in on a return, Mike Chambers of the Denver Post reports. Impact: It's unclear if Parenteau is going to appear before the regular season ends, but it looks like he should be available for the entire postseason, barring a late setback. He's been out since March 10 with the knee injury.(RotoWire, )
