The Vancouver Canucks are back on top of the Power Rankings thanks to the play of Mikael Samuelsson.

The right wing's six points (2G, 4A) led Vancouver to three straight wins, which knocked the Philadelphia Flyers down to the No. 2 hole. Vancouver's three straight victories extended the team's winning streak to five games. Samuelsson came out of the break ready to roll, recording multiple points in each Week 17 game.

He started his run by tallying one goal and one assist in a 4-1 victory over the Dallas Stars on Feb. 1. His two assists the next night helped Vancouver blow past the Phoenix Coyotes 6-0 on Feb. 2. Samuelsson closed out the week by registering one goal and one assist in a 4-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Feb. 4.

How did your favorite team perform after the break? Read on to find out.

(Note: The Power Rankings will be based on a formula of points earned divided by the maximum amount of points possible [points/games played x 2]. In case of a tie, categories such as wins, goals against, goals for, power-play goals and power-play percentage will determine rankings.)

(.654) After scoring seven goals in their first game back from the break, the Red Wings failed to find the back of the net in their final two games of the week. Detroit got shut out in back-to-back games for the first time this season, whiffing on a combined 69 chances in the two losses.

(.574) Fresh off his two-helper performance at the All-Star Game, Corey Perry helped Anaheim to its only Week 17 win when he netted all of his team's goals in a 3-0 win over Colorado on Feb. 5. Corey also picked up two assists in a 4-3 loss to the Sharks on Feb. 2.

(.566) Jack Johnson helped the Kings move up eight places in the rankings and skate away with five of a possible six points in Week 17. The all-around defender collected four points in two wins last week off one goal and three assists, including three in a 3-1 road win over the Oilers.

(.565) In order for the Coyotes to pick up two points in three games, Ilya Bryzgalov had to be perfect. The Phoenix goalkeeper didn't allow anything to get past him at home Saturday night against Minnesota, stopping all 25 shots the Wild fired his way in the 1-0 victory.

(.564) The Rangers, especially Henrik Lundqvist, have not looked good coming out of the break. The New York netminder didn't play like an all-star in his first two games back, giving up six goals on 38 shots, including three on the 12 shots he faced before getting yanked against New Jersey.

(.558) After collecting three points in the mid-season classic in Raleigh, Jonathan Toews remained in All-Star form in his first two games back from the break. The Blackhawks' sniper posted five points in the two tilts, including one goal and two assists in a 7-4 win over the Blue Jackets.

(.547) In one period of All-Star action Cam Ward faced 14 shots and gave up four goals, but that was just a tune-up for what he was about to face in Week 17. In the three games after the break, Ward faced an average of 37 shots for the 'Canes. Unfortunately, he was only able to backstop his team to one win.

(.538) Colorado had its Feb. 1 match against the Blues postponed due to bad weather conditions. Unfortunately for the Avs, they had to play their next two games, which wound up being losses to the Wild and Ducks. Colorado comes into play this week 4-6-0 in its last 10, which includes a four-game losing streak.

(.396) The Senators picked up right where they left off before the All-Star break. Before the mid-season classic, Ottawa dropped six games in a row. Last week, the Sens added an additional three losses to the mix, extending their skid to a season-high nine games.

(.365) Edmonton went into the break needing a break, as the club had dropped six of its last seven games. Well, apparently the break didn't do them any good, as the Oilers started the second half off by dropping three straight to the Kings, Blues and Blue Jackets.
