Two NHL veterans led the New Jersey Devils up the charts this week. Brian Rolston and Marty Brodeur did their share to help the surging Devils take over the top spot in the Power Rankings. Rolston recorded a point in each of New Jersey's Week 6 wins, including the game-winner in a 2-1, nail-biting victory over the New York Islanders. Brodeur won both of his starts between the pipes for the Devs, giving up only four goals on 49 shots. Backup goaltender Yann Danis also pitched in, stopping 23 of the 24 shots he faced in his start against the Isles.

Two other battle-tested NHLers, Calgary's Jarome Iginla and Philadelphia's Chris Pronger, helped their teams rise five places in the rankings. Iginla notched five points in three games for the Flames, including a league-leading four goals. Pronger led all blueliners in scoring, registering five points and a plus-5 rating in the Flyers three consecutive wins.

Who stood out for your team in Week 6? Read on to find out.

(Note: The Power Rankings will be based on a formula of points earned divided by the maximum amount of points possible [points/games played x 2]. In case of a tie, categories such as wins, goals against, goals for, power-play goals and power-play percentage will determine rankings.)

The Devils come into Week 7 riding an impressive 8-2-0 string in their last 10 games, which includes five straight wins, three of which came in Week 6. New Jersey's power play chipped in big time, converting on six of the team's 16 man-advantage chances.

Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
7 Sabres 2 (-5) 1/13 (.679) If the Sabres continue to play the scary brand of hockey they've been playing since Halloween, it won't take long for the team to drop out of the top 10 in the rankings. Buffalo dropped two of the three games it played last week, giving up nine goals and 74 shots in the two losses.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
8 Flyers 13 (+5) 4/15 (.679) Chris Pronger's contributions allowed the Flyers to skate away winners three times last week. Philly's hulking defender amassed five points in the three Week 6 games off one goal and four assists.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy

Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
12 Stars 12 - 11/20 (.588) Marty Turco's 32-save performance in a 2-1 win over Vancouver not only snapped the Stars' three-game losing streak, it also stopped the Canucks' three-game winning streak. Turco was at his best in the third period when he turned away all but one of the 17 shots the Canucks fired his way.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
13 Coyotes 6 (-7) 6/16 (.588) November hasn't been kind to the Coyotes so far. The team opened Week 6 by dropping two of the three games it played, including a 4-3 defeat against the Ducks where Phoenix spotted Anaheim a four-goal lead before the team climbed back into the game early in the third period.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
14 Rangers 10 (-4) 1/15 (.583) The Rangers hit the road for three games in Week 6 and only earned two of the six points that were on the table. New York's power play was non-existent in the two losses, going 0-for-8.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
15 Senators 14 (-1) 6/24 (.571) Jason Spezza's three-point effort against the Lightning helped the Senators beat the Bolts in overtime in Week 6. Amazingly enough Spezza's tally against Tampa Bay was not only the game-winner, it was also his first goal of the season.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
16 Red Wings 18 (+2) 16/29 (.567) By winning the opening games of the week, Chris Osgood helped the Wings extend their winning streak to three games. But the team closed out the week with a weak effort against Toronto, allowing the Maple Leafs to score five goals on 28 shots in the loss.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
17 Lightning 17 - 17/26 (.567) Thanks to Ryan Malone the Lightning were able to stockpile five of a possible eight points. Malone produced four points in the three games, including the game-winner in a 2-1 overtime victory over Toronto.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
18 Canucks 20 (+2) 18/27 (.556) Andrew Raycroft and Cory Schneider provided the Canucks with excellent goaltending last week, but the club was only able to win two of the three games it played. Raycroft picked up both of the Vancouver wins, stopping 50 of the 53 shots he faced. Schneider was just as good, but not as lucky. The 23-year-old turned away 43 of the 45 shots fired at his cage in a hard-luck, 2-1 loss to the Stars.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
19 Thrashers 16 (-3) 5/19 (.536) The Thrashers fired a lot of rubber at opposing goalies last week, but the only problem was that not enough of the chances found the back of the net. Atlanta scored 14 goals on 139 shots in Week 6, but gave up 16 on 137.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
20 Predators 23 (+3) 8/26 (.500) The Predators did everything they could to extend their three-game winning streak last week against Jonas Hiller and the Ducks, but the Anaheim netminder was too tough. Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
21 Oilers 19 (-2) 12/23 (.500) By scoring four power-play goals in a 5-3 win over the Avalanche last Sunday, the Oilers killed two birds with one stone. The victory over Colorado put an end to a three-game losing streak, while also putting a power-play goal-less drought to bed.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
22 Islanders 24 (+2) 14/28 (.500) The Islanders saw their season-high, four-game winning streak come to a halt in Buffalo when Ryan Miller stopped everything New York threw at his cage in a 3-0 win. Matt Moulson helped the Isles close the week out with a win when he registered two points in a 6-3 win over Atlanta.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
23 Bruins 22 (-1) 16/23 (.500) The Boston offense was on snooze control in Week 6. Before netting a 4-2 win over the Sabres on Saturday, the Bruins had only scored two goals in two Week 6 games on 72 shots. The Bs needed a defenseman, Zdeno Chara, to bail them out of their offensive slump. Chara potted one goal and an assist in the win over Buffalo.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
24 Canadiens 21 (-3) 11/27 (.471) Brian Gionta was just about the only Montreal player who brought his "A" game on offense last week. The former Devils forward scored three of his team's seven goals last week, including the only tally in a 3-1 loss to Tampa Bay.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
25 Ducks 26 (+1) 18/26 (.467) The Ducks scored eight goals in their two wins in Week 6 and Teemu Selanne had three of them. The veteran forward deposited two in a 4-0 win over Nashville and one in a 4-3 win over Phoenix.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
26 Blues 25 (-1) 6/26 (.467) The good news that came out of Week 6 for the Blues was that the team picked up a point in each of its three games. The bad news was that the club didn't win a game last week and extended its losing streak to a season-high five straight.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
27 Wild 28 (+1) 21/29 (.375) Marek Zidlicky's offense helped Minnesota pick up its only win of Week 6. The Wild defender posted the game-winning goal and an assist in a 3-2 victory over Dallas. The Czechoslovakian native also collected an assist last week in a 5-2 loss to the Canucks.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
28 Panthers 27 (-1) 18/29 (.367) Tomas Vokoun was perfect in his first Week 6 start, stopping all 32 shots he faced in a 3-0 shut out win over Carolina. But the Florida goaltending was shaky the rest of the week, surrendering 11 goals on 57 shots.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
29 Maple Leafs 30 (+1) 19/30 (.367) The Maple Leafs are improving slowly but surely. In three Week 6 games, Toronto collected five out of a possible six points. Phil Kessel played in his first game for Toronto since being acquired in September in a trade with the Boston Bruins. Kessel, who was out of the lineup recovering from shoulder surgery, recorded three points, including his first game-winner for the Leafs, in his first three games for the franchise.
Team: Home | Stats | Fantasy
30 Hurricanes 29 (-1) 24/30 (.219) The Hurricanes didn't have a good week. The team failed to pick up a win in four tries, which extended its losing streak to 12 games. Carolina failed to connect on 16 power play chances in the four losses.
