The Hamilton Bulldogs, individually, all want to play in Montreal for the Canadiens.

As a team, however, the Dogs struggle in Montreal.

For the third year in a row, the Bulldogs have lost a home game played at the Bell Centre, home of their parent club.

Last night a crowd of 14,702 at the Bell Centre cheered on the Habs prospects but the Binghamton Senators spoiled the party by beating Hamilton 2-1.

Binghamton held period leads of 1-0 and 2-0 before the Dogs made it close in the third.

Ryan Keller opened the scoring for the Senators on a power play at 15:59 of the first. Jason Bailey made it 2-0 at 8:02 of the second.

P.K. Subban scored his first goal as a professional, on a power play at 8:39 of the third. That was as close as Hamilton would come, however.

The loss was the first in regulation time for the Dogs this season, ending their franchise record streak at 11 games.

The two teams will meet again tomorrow afternoon (3 p.m., TALK820) at Scotiabank Place, the home rink of Binghamton's parent club, the Ottawa Senators .

The Dogs have one more game on the road, in Rochester on Tuesday, before they return to Copps Coliseum to host the Syracuse Crunch next Friday.

In other games last night involving North Division teams it was Rochester 4 Syracuse 2; Grand Rapids 5 Chicago 4, and Toronto 3 Lake Erie2.
