Brett Hull will be joining his dad in the Hall of Fame.
The longtime NHL star, who is now an executive with the Dallas Stars, confirmed his selection to the Dallas Morning News.
"It's a great honor, it's really unfathomable. I mean, when you're a kid, you dream about someday playing in the NHL or someday winning the Stanley Cup, but you just don't think about this, so it's hard to prepare yourself," said Hull.
Hull's father Bobby, known as the "Golden Jet," was inducted to the Hall in 1983.
For his career, Brett Hull finished with 741 regular-season goals, including 86 during the 1990-91 campaign when he won the Hart Trophy as the league MVP.
The ceremony will be at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto on Nov. 9.
