What do you do if you're a young hockey player about to marry a supermodel? Announce the wedding is off by email.

That's exactly what Jarret Stoll of the Los Angeles Kings did only weeks before his Aug. 14 vows to model Rachel Hunter. According to the Daily Mail, the move was a surprise to Hunter, who was planning a lavish wedding that was to include guests Sharon Stone and Michelle Pfeiffer.

"She is absolutely devastated," an anonymous friend told the Mail. "Everything was in place for their wedding — she had the venue, the designer dress, the guest list.

"She has absolutely no idea why Jarret has done this. It sounds like it could be a classic case of cold feet."

Stoll, who is 27 years old, and Hunter, who is 39, bought a multi-million dollar house in California last year.

Stoll is the second hockey player Hunter has dated. In 2005, she ended a year-long relationship with current New York Ranger Sean Avery.

Last year, Avery was suspended for making disparaging remarks about NHL players dating his former girlfriends, including Stoll and Dion Phaneuf of the Calgary Flames, who is dating Avery's ex Elisha Cuthbert.
