News: Coach Lindy Ruff said on Wednesday that Dillon may return to the lineup on Friday.
Impact: Dillon has been practicing and his presence on the blueline would mean a lot to the Stars. Dillon has the ability to activate into the offense, but his presence means less for fantasy than it does for the actual team.
Wed. Apr 23, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dillon (lower body) will not play in Wednesday's Game 4 against the Ducks, Mark Stepneski of the team's official site reports.
Impact: The blueliner recorded six goals and 11 assists in 80 games during the regular season, but hasn't suited up yet in the playoffs. There's a chance he could return for Game 5 on Friday in Anaheim, but we'll likely have a better idea of his status that morning.
News: Coach Lindy Ruff indicated that Dillon (lower body) is a "longshot" to play Wednesday against the Ducks, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.
Impact: Dillon took part in Tuesday's optional practice, which is a step in the right direction, but it appears as though a return to action Friday is a more realistic scenario for the blueliner, who last played on April 11.
Tue. Apr 22, 2014 | STATS
News: Lehtonen had 37 saves, with some tremendous stops, for his first career postseason victory, and the Dallas Stars beat Anaheim 3-0 on Monday night in their first home playoff game in six years.
Impact: Lehtonen had been 0-4 in the playoffs, including two losses with Atlanta in 2007, with a 4.58 goals-against average and .858 save percentage.
News: Daley had an assist, a plus-2 rating and two penalty minutes during 26:13 of ice time in the Game 3 win over Anaheim on Monday.
Impact: Daley has been a key to the Stars' success down the stretch and early in the playoffs. Few players on the team are playing a tougher, more consistent game. It has recently translated into offensive production, but that's not something to bank on with Daley. You're depending on him for ice time, hits (three in Game 3), blocked shots (two in Game 3) and takeaways (two in Game 3).
Shawn Horcoff - #10 - Center - 6'1" - 208lbs
News: Horcoff had an assist and a pair of shots in Monday's Game 3 win over the Ducks.
Impact: Horcoff has two assists in the playoffs so far and saw an almost seven-minute increase in ice time in Game 3 versus the first two games. It's not clear whether that's part of the depth-chart shakeup coach Lindy Ruff instituted before Game 3 or simply a product of Horcoff playing well in the contest. As he's a veteran presence on a young team, it's a situation worth keeping an eye on.
News: Benn scored on one of his three shots and collected two penalty minutes in Monday's Game 3 shutout of the Ducks.
Impact: Benn now has points in six straight games, including two goals and an assist in the playoffs so far. He's been hot for much longer than that, and the Ducks have not yet found a way to shut him down.
News: Garbutt had a goal and six shots in a Game 3 win over the Ducks on Monday.
Impact: Garbutt now has goals in back-to-back games. He's in the midst of a breakout season, and his 13 shots through three career playoff games have him in line for an increased workload. Garbutt played 16:43 in Game 3 -- more than a five-minute increase over the last two contests.
Chris Mueller - #18 - Center - 5'11" - 200lbs
News: Mueller got the nod for his first NHL playoff game in Game 3, where he totaled two penalty minutes and 4:31 of ice time.
Impact: Mueller got the start over Erik Cole, who was made a healthy scratch. It seems unlikely that coach Lindy Ruff will leave Mueller in over Cole if he only plans on giving him four minutes of ice time.
Cody Eakin - #20 - Center - 6'0" - 190lbs
News: Eakin had an assist and went plus-1 in 17:49 of ice time in Monday's Game 3 win over Anaheim.
Impact: Eakin has two assists in the postseason so far. He's getting good ice time, but you can't expect much more than this from the 22-year-old.
Antoine Roussel - #21 - Left Wing - 6'0" - 180lbs
News: Roussel had an assist and four penalty minutes in Monday's Game 3 win over the Ducks.
Impact: There's the Roussel we know. He provides and a little offense and grabs a handful of penalty minutes. If you're counting on Roussel, nights like Monday are the best-case scenario.
News: Sceviour had an assist and a pair of shots in Monday's Game 3 win over Anaheim.
Impact: Sceviour played only two total NHL games prior to his call ups this season. He's tallied eight goals and four assists through 26 regular-season games as well as a goal and two assists through three playoff games this year. Sceviour's carving out a role for himself and making a difference.
News: Seguin had an assist, a plus-2 rating and two shots in a Game 3 win over the Ducks on Monday.
Impact: Seguin saw under 20 minutes of ice time for the first time this postseason. He hasn't been quite as electric as his experience combined with a red-hot end of the season might have led you to believe he would be, as Seguin has just one goal and one assist through three games.
News: Nichushkin lit the lamp in a Game 3 win over the Ducks on Monday.
Impact: This is the rookie's first playoff goal after he totaled 14 goals and 34 points in the regular season. Just 19 years old (his birthday was March 4), Nichushkin may not have a big playoffs this year, and Dallas doesn't seem likely to stay around long, but his future is bright.
News: Lehtonen stopped all 37 shots he faced in a shutout win over the Ducks in Monday's Game 3.
Impact: The Stars were still outplayed and outshot, but Lehtonen carried them to their first win of the series. He may need to steal a couple more games if Dallas is going to pull the series upset.
Erik Cole - #72 - Right Wing - 6'2" - 210lbs
News: Cole did not take the ice for pregame warmups Monday and looks like he'll be a healthy scratch for Game 3 against the Ducks, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.
Impact: Cole hasn't made much of an impact in the first two games of the series, mustering only two shots on goal en route to a minus-2 rating. Coach Lindy Ruff will turn to Chris Mueller to round out his forward ranks as the Stars look to steal Game 3.
News: Lehtonen is getting the nod in Game 3, according to Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News.
Impact: Lehtonen let in three goals on 19 shots in Game 2 and will be looking to rebound as the series comes to Dallas.
Apr 20, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dillon (lower body) will not rejoin the Stars' lineup for Monday's Game 3 against the Ducks, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.
Impact: Dillon was able to skate before Sunday's practice, but it still looks like he's going to need some more time to recover from the lower-body injury. With the Stars already in a 2-0 hole in the series, it's possible we may not see Dillon again this season if the Ducks are able to clinch over the final two games.
News: Dillon (lower body) may skate Sunday but is still unlikely to play in Monday's Game 3 against the Ducks, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.
Impact: Dillon missed the first two games and is seemingly headed for a third absence, but his potential return to the ice is at least a sign of progress. If he does get back on the ice Sunday, he'll presumably have a decent chance to play in Game 4 or 5 (if necessary).
News: Benn had an assist, three hits, and a blocked shot in a Game 2 loss to the Ducks on Friday.
Impact: You can be sure the Ducks' game plan includes a focus on Benn and linemate Tyler Seguin. Both had solid Game 1 performances, but the Ducks held Benn to a single shot and silenced Seguin in Game 2. Benn still managed to get a point, but they are putting forth a special effort into trying to shut him down.
Antoine Roussel - #21 - Left Wing - 6'0" - 180lbs
News: Roussel had an assist, five hits, and a blocked shot in the Stars' Game 2 loss to the Ducks.
Impact: Roussel is providing a physical presence and a little offense for the Stars, which is all they hoped for out of him. If you're playing him hoping that his 209 regular season penalty minutes - third highest in the league - might be a trend that continues in the postseason, you've been disappointed so far. He's only logged two penalty minutes in the playoffs so far and you can be sure the leash will be tight if he starts to run up senseless penalties.
News: Goligoski had an assist and logged 27:25 of ice time in a Game 2 loss to the Ducks.
Impact: Goligoski played 28:39 in Game 1, so you're getting lots of minutes out of him. As much as many hoped the Stars would give the Ducks a good run, they're down 2-0 in the series and Goligoski may not have many playoff games left.
News: Garbutt scored his first goal of the postseason in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Ducks.
Impact: With the Ducks putting the clamps on star forwards Jamie Benn (one shot attempt) and Tyler Seguin (three), Garbutt stepped up offensively, firing off five shots on goal. He was able to find the net with 10 minutes remaining in the final period, but the Stars couldn't muster another goal the rest of the way to tie things up.
Alex Chiasson - #12 - Right Wing - 6'4" - 187lbs
News: Chiasson has totaled a point in each of the Stars' first two games of their first-round playoff series with the Ducks.
Impact: He's attempted seven shots over the two games, finding the net for his first playoff goal on a power-play tally in the first period of Friday's contest. The Stars will need to continue to squeeze production out of Chiasson if they hope to overcome their 2-0 series deficit.
News: Lehtonen gave up three goals on 19 shots, as the Ducks raced to a 2-0 advantage in their first-round series with the Stars.
Impact: Although his defense did well to limit the Ducks' shot attempts, Lehtonen was outmatched by opposing goalie Frederik Andersen for the second consecutive game. He's posted save percentages below .900 in his two starts in the series.
Fri. Apr 18, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dillon (lower body) was not a part of Friday's morning skate, according to Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News.
Impact: Dillon missed Game 1 with a lower-body injury and it appears as though he will miss Game 2 as well.
Fri. Apr 18, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Lehtonen warmed up prior to Friday's game and will start in goal, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Lehtonen will be in net for Friday's Game 2, despite conceding three first-period goals in Game 1. At this point, it would be surprising if Lehtonen didn't start each of the Stars' subsequent playoff games.
News: Daley had an assist, a plus-1 rating, two shots and two blocked shots in the series opener against Anaheim on Wednesday.
Impact: Daley has three goals and seven assists over the last 10 games. He's poised to have the best postseason of his career, as he entered Game 1 with two goals and no assists over 29 career postseason games.
News: Nichushkin assisted on a Tyler Seguin goal, adding four shots and two penalty minutes in Wednesday's Game 1 loss to Anaheim.
Impact: Nichushkin is a solid deep-roster play in fantasy playoff pools. His position on one of the hottest lines in the league makes him a threat every game.
News: Seguin scored on one of five shots and played 20:41 in the Stars game one loss on Wednesday.
Impact: Seguin's hot streak continues, and with the combination of him and Jamie Benn, it's hard to imagine the 22-year-old center slowing down at all. He's a great play in any format.
News: Dillon (lower body) remains day-to-day, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Dillon missed Wednesday's playoff opener against the Ducks and thus remains iffy for Friday's Game 2, given his continued day-to-day status.
News: Sceviour had a goal and an assist in Wednesday's Game 1 loss to the Ducks.
Impact: Sceviour played an integral role in the Stars' near-comeback, as he scored the second of three unanswered goals to turn a 4-0 Ducks lead into a 4-3 advantage. Though Dallas ultimately fell short, it was a very impressive postseason debut for Sceviour.
News: Benn tallied his first career playoff goal to open the Stars' scoring in an eventual 4-3 Game 1 loss to Anaheim on Wednesday.
Impact: Benn was the Stars' best player in the game, carrying over his torrid pace from the conclusion of the regular season without missing a beat.
News: Lehtonen allowed three first-period goals in a 4-3 loss to Anaheim in Wednesday's playoff opener.
Impact: Lehtonen put his team in a 4-0 hole 30 minutes into the game, but played better as the game went along and nearly benefited as Dallas rallied late. He'll be in net for Game 2 on Friday.
News: Dillon (lower body) wasn't on the ice for morning skate Wednesday and looks like a game-time decision for Game 1 against the Ducks, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Dillon was considered likely to play in Game 1 as recently as two days ago, but his inability to participate in practice since that time now has him looking questionable at best. The uncertainty of his injury situation probably makes him a defenseman to avoid in playoff pools.
News: Lehtonen will be in the crease for Game 1 of the Stars' first-round series with the Ducks, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Frankly, it would be more surprising if Lehtonen didn't make the start for every game throughout the playoffs than if he did. The Stars will lean heavily on their netminder as they return to the playoffs for the first time in five seasons.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | STATS
News: Dillon continues to miss time due to a lower-body injury.
Impact: The defenseman wasn't able to go in Game 3 of the playoffs on Monday.
News: Dillon (lower body) will not play in Wednesday's Game 1 against the Ducks.
Impact: Coach Lindy Ruff noted that Dillon is not at the point where he's comfortable enough to skate yet, muddying his status for the remainder of the series. Aaron Rome will join the Dallas lineup in his place.
Tue. Apr 15, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Whitney (lower body) is expected to return to the lineup for Game 1 of the Stars' postseason series with the Ducks, Mark Stepneski of NHL.com reports.
Impact: It sounds like Whitney has been participating in practice for the Stars, which should clear the way for him to draw into the lineup Wednesday. He missed the Stars' final six regular-season games with the lower-body ailment.
Tue. Apr 15, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Though Dillon has been classified as likely to play in Game 1 of the playoffs, he didn't practice Tuesday, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: As Heika notes, "that's not a good sign" regarding his availability for the start of the playoffs. The Stars will wait and see how he feels during morning skate Wednesday before rendering a decision on his status for Game 1.
News: Dillon (lower body) is expected to practice Tuesday and play in Game 1 of the team's first-round series against the Ducks, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Dillon missed the final game of the regular season while tending to the lower-body injury, but it looks like the Stars will have all hands on deck defensively against the Ducks. The blueliner picked up his game slightly his second NHL season, logging 17 points, 86 PIM, 168 hits and 149 blocks over 80 games.
News: Sceviour had a power-play goal in Sunday's win over the Coyotes.
Impact: Although his scoring has dried up a bit since his initial promotion to the big club this season, he's at least been a consistent shooter of late. He's logged three shot attempts in three straight games, making him a fairly reliable offensive contributor as far as depth forwards go.
Aaron Rome - #27 - Defense - 6'1" - 218lbs
News: Rome (undisclosed) returned to the ice for the Sunday's regular-season finale against the Coyotes.
Impact: Rome finished with three blocked shots and a minus-1 rating in his 20:19 of ice time Sunday, his first game since March 29. Even when healthy, Rome has routinely been scratched by the Stars, so he's no guarantee to see the ice throughout the team's postseason run.
News: Thomas made 29 saves on 31 shots, but took the loss against the Coyotes on Sunday.
Impact: Thomas will back up Kari Lehtonen in the playoffs, but his future beyond that is up in the air.
News: Whitney (lower body) is listed as day-to-day, Mark Stepneski of NHL.com reports.
Impact: Whitney won't play Sunday against the Coyotes, but he has been skating of late, which bodes well for his chances of being good to go for the playoffs.
News: Dillon, who left Friday's game due to a lower body injury, is day-to-day, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.
Impact: "He'll probably skate on Tuesday, and if things go well, I anticipate he'll play," coach Lindy Ruff said of Dillon's status in advance of the upcoming NHL playoffs. He didn't skate Sunday.
News: Daley is in line to sit out Sunday's game against the Coyotes, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.
Impact: With the team selectively resting some key players Sunday, Daley will finish up the regular season with 25 points in 67 games for the Stars.
News: Thomas will start Sunday's game against the Coyotes, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.
Impact: With the Stars' playoff seeding set, the team will rest Kari Lehtonen on Sunday, thus giving Thomas the start in the team's regular-season finale.
News: The Stars plan to rest Benn on Sunday against the Coyotes, Mark Stepneski of NHL.com reports.
Impact: With the Stars not playing for playoff seeding Sunday, Benn is in line to get a well-earned day off in advance of the playoffs.
News: Thomas is on track to start Sunday's game against the Coyotes, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Meanwhile, as Thomas heads into his sixth start for the Stars, the team is likely to rest some key players Sunday in advance of the upcoming NHL playoffs.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | STATS
News: Seguin scored his team-leading 37th goal and the Stars clinched their first playoff berth since 2008 with a 3-0 victory against the St. Louis Blues on Friday night.
Impact: Seguin, who has scored in five of seven games this month, has 26 points in his last 19.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | STATS
News: Lehtonen recorded his fifth shutout of the season, and the Stars clinched their first playoff berth since 2008 with a 3-0 victory against the St. Louis Blues on Friday night.
Impact: Lehtonen, who finished with 22 saves, has posted a sparkling 1.65 GAA during a seven-game home winning streak.
Chris Mueller - #18 - Center - 5'11" - 200lbs
News: Mueller was recalled from AHL Texas on Saturday.
Impact: Mueller will join the team just in time for the season to end. He has played in eight games for the Stars this season for the Stars but has failed to tally a point. The fact that he was called up on Saturday indicates he could have another opportunity to record that first point again on Sunday.
News: Garbutt had a goal and three shots in a win over St. Louis on Friday.
Impact: Garbutt has 17 goals and 15 assists on the season, which will be his first full season and blows away his previous season best totals.
News: Goligoski had an assist, a plus-2 rating, and 27:29 of ice time in a shutout win over the Blues on Friday.
Impact: Goligoski has played very well down the stretch, logging huge minutes and taking up the points. He has a goal and eight assists, a plus-13 rating, and dipped below 24 minutes only once in the last nine games.
Vernon Fiddler - #38 - Center - 5'11" - 197lbs
News: Fiddler had an assist, a plus-1 rating, two penalty minutes, and four shots in a shutout win over St. Louis on Friday.
Impact: After a bit of a slow season, Fiddler has finished up very nicely. He has two goals, six assists, a plus-6 rating, and an average of 2.5 shots per game over the last 10 games.
News: Seguin registered his 37th goal of the season in Friday's 3-0 win over the Blues.
Impact: Seguin found the back of the net 10 seconds into the Stars' power play, giving him four goals over his last six games. He's been a smashing success in his first season in Dallas, totaling 84 points in 79 games.
News: Benn contributed two assists in Friday's playoffs-clinching win over the Blues.
Impact: That's points in five straight games for Benn, who has tallied four goals and four assists during that span. The 24-year-old is enjoying the best season of his NHL career and will command much attention from whichever opponent the Stars play in the first round of the playoffs.
News: Daley notched a goal and assist in Friday's 3-0 win over the Blues.
Impact: Much to the delight of fantasy owners, Daley has started to look for his own offense with more regularity of late. He has two goals and five assists in seven April contests, already matching his highest scoring month of the season.
News: Lehtonen made 22 saves to shut out the Blues on Friday.
Impact: On the strength of Lehtonen's fifth shutout of the season against a woefully undermanned Blues squad, the Stars clinched their first playoff berth since the 2008-09 campaign, the longest drought in franchise history. With the Stars' playoff spot now secure, look for backup Tim Thomas to get the nod in Sunday's finale against the Coyotes.
News: Dillon left Friday's game against the Blues with a lower-body injury and did not return, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Dillon was on the ice for 7:38 before departing with the injury, leaving his status unclear for Sunday's season finale against the Coyotes. The Stars were able to win Friday and clinch the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, so the team could just elect to rest Dillon on Sunday regardless of how he recovers over the next 24 hours.
News: Lehtonen is on track to start Friday's game against the Blues, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' website reports.
Impact: Lehtonen gave way to Tim Thomas on Wednesday night, but he will be back between the pipes Friday night. Lehtonen has not given up more than three goals in a start since March 18.
Thu. Apr 10, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Benn had an assist and a pair of shots in Wednesday's loss to the Blue Jackets.
Impact: That stretches Benn's current point streak to four games, during which he has four goals and two assists.
Thu. Apr 10, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Seguin had an assist and nine shots in Wednesday's loss to Columbus.
Impact: Seguin continues a string of great play, which has recently featured three straight games with 20-plus minutes of ice time. He has four goals and three assists in the last six games.
News: Daley scored the Stars' lone goal, a power-play tally, in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Blue Jackets.
Impact: He's got seven points (two goals and five assists) in his last eight games, and is seeing regular shifts on the Stars' top power-play unit along with the likes of Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin. Daley's got just 23 points in 66 games on the season, but he's producing right now. If you need a boost on the blue line to close out the regular season, you could do worse.
News: Thomas allowed two goals on 25 shots as the Stars fell 3-1 to the Blue Jackets on Wednesday.
Impact: He's got just two wins and a 3.15 GAA in seven games since coming over to Dallas, but with Kari Lehtonen not looking sharp recently and the club clinging to the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, Thomas might just get a chance to seize the reins over the final couple of regular season games.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | STATS
News: Benn scored for the third straight game in Tuesday's shootout win over Nashville.
Impact: Benn has 17 goals and 19 assists over his last 30 games.
News: Thomas will be in the net Wednesday to start against the Blue Jackets in a game previously postponed Mar. 10, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: That Mar. 10 game was stopped 6:23 into the first period after Rich Peverley had a cardiac emergency and needed to be hospitalized. The Blue Jackets held a 1-0 lead before Peverley collapsed on the bench, and that score will carry over to Wednesday, putting Thomas at a one-goal disadvantage out of the gates. The two teams will still play a full 60-minute game.
News: Updating a previous report, Lehtonen won't start in the net Wednesday night, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Lehtonen will give way to Tim Thomas on Wednesday night, who led the Stars onto the ice for pre-game warmups.
News: Lehtonen will be in the net Wednesday to start against the Blue Jackets in a game previously postponed Mar. 10, Jeff Rimer of FOX Sports Ohio reports.
Impact: The game was stopped 6:23 into the first period after Rich Peverley had a cardiac emergency and needed to be hospitalized. The Blue Jackets held a 1-0 lead before Peverley collapsed on the bench, and that score will carry over to Wednesday, putting Lehtonen at a one-goal disadvantage out of the gates. The two teams will still play a full 60-minute game.
News: Whitney (lower body) will miss his fourth straight game Wednesday against the Blue Jackets, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Whitney will turn his sights to returning Friday against the Blues in what could be a playoff-clinching game for the Stars. The veteran winger has 32 points in 69 games on the season.
News: Goligoski had a goal on his lone shot in Tuesday's win over Columbus.
Impact: Goligoski has turned it on at the end of the season when the Stars need him most. In the last seven games he has a goal and seven assists. He's playing big minutes too, crossing the 28-minute mark three times in those games and staying above 23 minutes in 13 straight contests.
Vernon Fiddler - #38 - Center - 5'11" - 197lbs
News: Fiddler had an assist and two shots while skating 18:19 in Tuesday's win over Columbus.
Impact: Fiddler is having a great end to the season. Over the last eight games, he has two goals and five assists. That's especially impressive when you note that he only has five goals and 15 assists through 73 games this season.
News: Nichushkin had an assist and four shots through 18:30 of ice time in Tuesday's shootout win over Columbus.
Impact: Nichushkin hasn't had the offensive bump we expected since he moved to the top line with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin. In 15 games since the move, he has just one goal and four assists, while his linemates have 16 goals and 16 assists over the same span.
News: Benn scored on one of his five shots in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jackets.
Impact: Benn has goals in three straight, with four goals and an assist over that stretch. He's simply playing great hockey any way you look at it.
News: Lehtonen grabbed his 32nd win of the season Tuesday, stopping 27 of 29 against the Blue Jackets.
Impact: Lehtonen has had a solid season despite some rough patches. Most surprising is that he's played the most games of any tender in the league. With Dan Ellis as his backup most of the season, you knew Lehtonen would see the lion's share, but you didn't expect to see 64-plus games from him this season.
Jordie Benn - #24 - Defense - 6'1" - 200lbs
News: Benn blocked six shots in his 24:38 of ice time during Tuesday's win over Columbus.
Impact: Benn's numbers have been up and down more than a child playing on an escalator. Over the last six games, his ice time has fluctuated wildly, from as little as 16:31 to as much as 26:54. Some nights he looks great, but it's hard to know what you're going to get on any given night.
Mon. Apr 7, 2014 | STATS
News: Seguin had a goal and an assist in Sunday's 3-2 loss at Florida.
Impact: Seguin has now scored in four straight games. He has 24 points over a 16-game stretch.
Sun. Apr 6, 2014 | STATS
News: Benn had two goals and an assist to lead the Stars in a 5-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night.
Impact: Benn has a career-high 32 goals and 74 points this season, but he had just two assists in his previous five games.
Sat. Apr 5, 2014 | STATS
News: Whitney returned to action and played 11 minutes in Game 1 of the playoffs Wednesday.
Impact: Whitney had been dealing with a lower-body injury.
