Impact: Nugent-Hopkins seems to be progressing well in his recovery from shoulder surgery and should be 100% recovered going into training camp in September.

News: Khabibulin is unlikely to be back with the Oilers for the 2013-14 season, Sportsnet's Mark Spector reports.
Impact: Khabibulin gave the Oilers a respectable backup last season, but it sounds like he will have a new home for the 2013-14 campaign if he decides to play another year. At the age of 40, and with a Stanley Cup victory to his name, the veteran netminder may decide to hang up his skates.

News: Oilers GM Craig MacTavish said the team would ideally like to trade both Horcoff and Ales Hemsky during the offseason, Sportsnet's Mark Spector reports.
Impact: Horcoff has spent his entire 12-year career in Edmonton, but it makes sense for the two parties to part directions while the Oilers are rebuilding. Horcoff tallied seven goals and five assists in just 31 games during the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season.
