News: Grossmann (knee) will not undergo offseason surgery on his sore knee, Philly.com reports.
Impact: Grossmann battled the injury in the later stages of the season, but will only need rest and relaxation in the offseason to recover.

News: van Riemsdyk will undergo surgery next week to repair a torn labrum in his right hip, reports the Associated Press.
Impact: His recovery time is expected to be six weeks. Injuries limited him to just 43 games during the regular season because of three separate injuries -- groin, concussion and foot surgery -- and he heard his name tossed around in trade rumors. He's a beast when healthy. But despite his tender years (23), he's quickly gaining a reputation for being injury prone. He may ultimately be nothing more than just another Ryan Malone -- typically better on the ice than in fantasy, and guaranteed to miss 15-20 games (or thereabouts) every year.

News: Timonen will undergo surgery next week to remove a disc fragment from his lower back, reports the Associated Press. A full recovery is expected.
Impact: His recovery time is eight to 10 weeks, putting him out of commission until perhaps the beginning of August. Invariably, his offseason training will be impacted and he may not be up to speed come camp.

News: Carle required offseason surgery to repair a torn stomach muscle, reports the Associated Press. His recovery time is four to six weeks.
Impact: He was steady in the postseason, leading the Flyers blue line with two goals and four assists in 11 games. He is coming off his third consecutive season with at least 35 points, and should be able to deliver that with consistency going forward.

News: Simmonds required surgery to repair a broken left index finger after the Flyers were eliminated from the playoffs, reports the Associated Press.
Impact: He still managed a goal and five assists in 11 playoff games, and showed his value as a tough, two-way player. His recovery time is four to six weeks.

News: Giroux has had double wrist surgery and will need six weeks of recovery before he can resume activities, reports the Associated Press.
Impact: His right wrist needed repair for torn cartilage; his left required the removal of bone spurs. He still managed to deliver 17 points in 10 postseason contests, a tally good enough to still stand Saturday as the league's best thus far. No worries for next season; he'll be as good as new.
