Penn St.'s Bill O'Brien says leaving Ohio State out of the national title game 'makes no sense to me'

On CBSSports.com O'Brien is quoted as saying…
"How can we not allow Ohio State, if they win out, how can they not compete for a national championship? It makes no sense to me," O'Brien said. "The perception is the Big Ten is down, and until we start winning on the field against the SEC, it's going to be the SEC on the top of the hill. But we've got great coaches in this league, great players, and this conference will be back."
It's not hard to understand why O'Brien believes in the Buckeyes especially after his team took a 63-14 beating at the hands of the Buckeyes.
Also, what O'Brien understands that many don't is that the strength of conferences experience peaks and valleys throughout history.
College football has never seen the dominance the SEC has had the last decade, but there have been times when the "mighty" SEC has experienced down years as the Big Ten is perceived to be having lately.
Man, wouldn't it be great if we could start the playoff system this year?
In the meantime, or for at least this weekend, Buckeye and Auburn Tiger fans are one and the same.
