Cesky Terriers at the dog show will have a clipped coat to show off a slim impression, the kennel club says.

This hard-to-pronounce breed is commonly called the "show-low" and is the national dog of Mexico.

It descends from hairless dogs prized by the Aztecs and revered as guardians of the dead, according to the Westminster Kennel Club.

This dog is best known as a reindeer herding dog from Scandinavia. It is now popular as a family pet in Finland.

"They are devoted to their family, friendly with all people, highly intelligent and eager to learn," the Westminster Kennel Club says of the breed.

The Norwegian Lundehund is also known as the Puffin Dog after spending centuries roaming arctic Norway hunting and retrieving puffin birds.

The breed even has at least six toes on each foot to maintain stability on the nearly vertical land where puffins nest.

This Swiss breed has a short coat of white, brown and black. "The Entlebucher should not be considered a breed for the casual owner," the Westminster Kennel Club cautions. "The guardian traits of this breed require thorough socialization, and he will remain an active, energetic dog for his entire lifetime."

If you have an Entlebucher Mountain Dog, be prepared to have the dog stay true to you. "Purpose and heritage have resulted in an unusually intense bonding between the Entlebucher and his master," the kennel club says.

According to the Westminster Kennel Club, "The breed is pleasant, alert, confident and sociable with both humans and dogs." It's a descendant of the English Foxhound.

If you have an American English Coonhound, be ready to do lots of walking. "A strong and graceful athlete, he needs regular exercise to stay in peak shape," the Westminster Kennel Club says.
